Classmates | Chanyeol x Nayeon

Stadium pt. 2

Nayeon's POV

"Are those two dating?" Mina asked me suddenly.

My gaze follows Irene and Chanyeol walking together towards the cafeteria. She clings too much onto him, I wonder if he's alright with it.

I shrug, "Maybe, I don't know and I don't care."

"Tss, did you two get into fight again?" Momo asked me.

"Yah, why are you guys attacking me with questions related to him, I- forget it. I suddenly felt full, I'll just go back to the classroom." I said and then I turned my back on them and walked away.

"Yah Nayeon? Are you alright?" Jihyo asks me, I look back and see that her eyes are filled with great concern.

"Yes." I said forcing a smile "Surprisingly, I don't feel hungry anymore, maybe it's because I ate a lot this morning."

"Okay, if you insist."

I let out a sigh of relief, I thought Jihyo won't let it slide, I wave my hands at them and went straight to the rooftop.

I take a sip from my soy milk, I hope this will give me the illusion that I ain't hungry.

Why do I suddenly feel upset when I'm clearly the one who told him to do that? Sigh, human emotions are really that complicated, huh?

But to think of it, we've been classmates for 4 years, and we almost became friends back then but it suddenly ended when I got into a relationship with Kris, and when Kris and I broke up, Chanyeol became mean to me.

"Nayeon? What are you doing here?"

I turn around to see Jungkook holding some chips and a hot dog sandwich. I stare at his food and gulp.

"I-"

Should I ask him for some? I shake my head, we're not even that close to do that. I didn't realize that I've been staring at his food for a long time.

He chuckles, "Want some?"

Before I can even stop myself I gave him an eager nod. I slap myself mentally. He laughs, then breaks the sandwich into half.

"Thank you." I said half-embarrassed.

We ate in silence, then after eating, I took a sip from my drink, should I give him my extra soy milk?

I offer him the drink, "Here, take this."

He looks at me surprised, "A-re you sure? You're known for being hungry 24/7, are you sure you don't want this anymore?"

I gave him a reassuring nod, "It's fine, I've been eating a lot my whole life, maybe I need to lessen my eating for a change."

"Thank you, but you don't need to change. By the way, not that I am prying, you still havent answered my question yet, what are you doing here?" He asked. "Are you alright?"

"I can be honest with my real feelings with you, right?"

"Of course Nayeon."

"I'm upset about something that I shouldn't be upset with in the first place, it's not like it's even important."

"You won't get upset without a valid reason Nayeon, what I mean is, you got about upset about something because that something is an important matter to you."

Important? Chanyeol? An important matter to me?

I shake my head, "Not sure but anyways thanks for listening Jungkook. It feels great telling someone what's bugging me."
