"Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!" I yell excitedly as I finish snorting the crystals Morty had gotten me. "What?! Rick, y...y...you got me to get you drugs?! AGAIN?! D...D...D...Do you even-" Morty was cut off by the sound of something teleporting. "What the hell?" I ask, nearly completely down from my high, as I walk outside and freeze. "Hold on...is that...." I mumble as my grandkids follow me outside the empty house. "Uh, Grandpa Rick? What the hell is that?" Summer asks me as she points to a ship. It was small, but larger than mine. It was about the size of a reasonably large camper van. "What? D...Do you think I have all the answers?" I yell before we were teleported onto the ship. "Oh geez Rick. We really screwed up tis time." Morty says before I see a figure walking towards us. "Hello Rick." I hear someone say. •That voice!• "Y/N?" I ask as the figure emerges from the shadows. "It's been a long time Rick. I'm glad you haven't forgotten me." Y/N's laugh floods my ears and brain. Oh, that sweet laughter that I've waited so long for. "I...I thought you were dead..." I say as I stagger closer to her. "To be honest, I thought I would have died as well. But I guess I was lucky, huh?" She nervously rubs the back of her neck before I hug her tightly. "Shit, I missed you..." I mumble quietly, only loud enough for her to hear. "I missed you to Rick." She says, hugging back.

"R...Rick, who is this?" Morty asks before I pull away. "R...Right. Uh...Summer and Morty, this is Y/N. Y/N these are my grandkids." I say before receiving a deathly glare. "Your grandkids?" She asks and I nod. "They have nothing to do with Unity?" She asks, hissing Unity's name. "Oh, so you know about Unity as well, huh?" Summer asks, folding her arms, and Y/N turns to her and smiles. "Yes, sadly. I know it all too well." She growls before I put my hand on her shoulder. "Relax Y/N. These two had nothing to do with Unity. I got married to another person Y/N." I say and she stares sadly. "Y...yeah. Anyway, we had a daughter, Beth, and she's grown up now. She married an idiot and then these two came along." I explain and she chuckles. "That sounds like something you'd say." She says with another jaw dropping smile. "Th...that still doesn't explain who she is." Morty says and I sigh. "Well, she was going to be my wife before she disappeared." I say with a small smile. "How'd she disappear?" Summer asks and I gulp, know exactly what was about to come next. "Yeah Rick. Why don't you enlighten your grandkids as to how I disappeared?" Y/N says with a glare. "She....It was because of me. I-" "He cheated on me three days after he proposed with that goddamn hive mind!" Y/N yells. "H...hey now, I told you-" "You told me what Rick? That it was an 'accident'? Did you slip and your penis just went in whatever-the-fuck-gender that thing is?!" She screams at me, causing me I back up. "N...Not a great time to bring this up Y/N." I say as I glance at Summer and Morty. "I could give less of a fuck right now. Do you know how long I've lived with that pain? Do you know how many times I wanted to throw your stupid ring away?" She yells and I sigh. "Could you at least let the kids out so they don't have to sit through this?" I ask and she growls. "I'm sorry you two. You don't need to see this." She says as she teleports us all down and the kids walk off. "Lets talk in my garage." I say, showing her the way.

"Did you really think of throwing away that ring?" I ask as I lock the door. "A...A few times, yes." She admits. "Did you?" I ask, causing her to shake her head. "I couldn't bring myself to. I guess I was still holding onto the hope that we'd meet again and you'd still love me..." She says sadly. "I do still love you Y/N. There's not a day that I don't think about you." I admit as I grab her hands. "My wife died long ago and everything is over between Unity and I." I tell her. "Promise?" "Promise." I answer with a smile. "I...I don't know Rick...You're on drugs right now and not thinking properly." She says and I shake my head. "N...No. Well, I mean, yeah I'm on drugs right now, but I know I want this." I beg and she shakes her head. "I'm fine with you drinking, but the drug part is just too much for me now Rick." She says sadly. "But back then you used to join m-" "That was back then. I'm a different person now. I'm sorry. If you can clean yourself up then we might have a chance, but it's not gonna happen as is." She says and, for about the third time in my entire life, I dropped my flask. "N...No, wait. Y/N, I promise I-" "You always promise things Rick, but do you every actually go through with those promises?" She asks and I open my mouth to answer "Rhetorical question. The answer is no. You never go trough with anything Rick, unless it involves yourself." She spits as taps her finger on my chest a few times. 

"Please! I promise, I've become a better man!" I beg and she sighs. "I can't trust you with that Rick, unless you've got evidence. You know that." She says sadly before I hear the door open. "He has!" Both Summer and Morty yell at the same time. "How would you know? You're just kids." Y/N says sadly. "W...W...We broke time once! A....A....And Summer got back to normal safely, but I tripped and fell into the void. He jumped down to save me, and since I dropped my collar to regulate time, he gave me his." Morty says enthusiastically. "H...He risked his life to save me..." He ends softly before Summer Pipes up. "Y...Yeah! He saved me from a bunch of Gazorpazorps." She says and I see Y/N staring to think. "Please...he's a changed man Y/N. We haven't seen him as happy as he was when he saw you in a long time." She pleads, while I just stand there awaiting Y/N's reply. "He wasn't even as happy when he saw Unity again." Summer says and Morty just smile patiently at Y/N. "Hmm....I can't really think about how you would benefit from saving them. I suppose you may have changed, just a little bit." She says and I hug her as she opens up her arms once more. "Thank you. No more drugs, I swear!" I say as she rubs the back of my head. "I know Rick. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, right?" She asks and I nod, pulling myself away and staring down at her. "Thought so." She says with a smile before kissing my gently and quickly. "I'm here for you. We'll get through it together." She says and I smile sadly. "Are you the same?" I ask and she nods sadly. "I have been since I 'died'." She says with air quotations. "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub." I say quietly as I rest my forehead against hers. "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub." She replies with a smile.
