"Beth? I...Is something wrong?" I ask as she stared at me. "Is it the food? I understand that parasite blood isn't exactly a nice added extra, but-" I gasp and shiver inwards as my ears begin ringing. I look down and see my white shirt being stained red. I reach my hand down and rub my fingers on my skin before pulling them back up and looking at them. I look to Rick and see him staring at me in shock. "R...Rick..." I whimper before falling sideways onto Morty. "Get her on the ground!" I hear Rick yell before I was placed on the ground. "Jesus Christ! You're gonna be alright Y/N...you are..." He says, as if he was trying to convince himself. He was trying to hold back tears. No one could notice though, only the one person who had seen every side of him and accepted all of them. Me. "Beth, you're the closet thing we've got to a doctor right now. Keep her alive." Rick demands and Beth stumbles over. "Dad, I...I don't-" "Just do it! It's the least you can do for shooting her!" He yells, and although I had barely any energy I managed to reach up and grab her hand. She looks down at me, I could see the guilt and pain running through her, and I smile at her. I had to let her know that everything was alright, but I needed her help. She sighs and kneels down with a pained smile. "Alright." She puts her hands on my wound and applies pressure while telling Summer to get a towel. "Morty, you make sure she doesn't close her eyes no matter what. Summer, you do what your mother tells you. Jerry, I know you're basically useless so just stay out of the way and be ready to call an ambulance if we need one. Beth, just keep her alive. And Mr Poopybutthole, just make sure she's comfy. Pillows, jokes, stuff to calm her a little. I'll be back soon." He says. "W...wait! Where are you going?" Morty asks in panic. "I need to g...get something to help her." Ricks says, shooting a portal. "R...Rick?" I weakly say. "Please...don't let me d...die." I beg an he nods before stepping through the portal.

Time Skip

"God-fucking-damnit Morty! I ask you to do one job and you couldn't even handle that!" I groggily open my eyes. Where....am I? I think to myself before looking around. "I gave you the second most simple job, the first being Jerry's, and you still managed to royally fuck that up!" I hear someone yell. I'm in Rick's room...why? I think before realising that voice was Ricks. "I...I'm sorry Rick be she just passed out instantly after you left through the portal." I hear, who I can only assume is, Morty say. I groan quietly as I stand up and force myself to the door. "She could be dead, and all you have to say is 'sorry'?! Jesus Christ, Morty, I ask you to do one god-damn thing." Rick yells and I open the door. They both turn around and look at me in shock. "I...I'm okay Rick. You can stop harassing the poor kid." I say, holding onto my stomach, where the wound was. I stumble a little before regaining my footing and steadying myself. I hear Rick growl. "You're off the hook this time Morty, but I swear, if she wasn't here I'd be using that replacement Morty voucher right now." Rick says holding onto my forearms and helping me stay vertical. He walks me back into his room and lays me back on the bed. "Why did you get up? You could've hurt yourself more." Rick asks calmly as he makes sure I'm comfortable. "I got lonely. Plus, I heard you two arguing outside." I say with a smile as I reach for his hand. As soon as my hand touches his, he pulls his away. He stands up with a sigh and walks to his desk, all while I watch him sadly. We're dating, but he still won't open up to me. "Thank you for saving me Rick." I say, trying to sound optimistic, as he faces away from me. He grunts some sort of reply. "Rick? I...I love you." I say, with a hopeful smile, however he doesn't even acknowledge that I said anything at all.

I sigh and decide to ask the question I never thought I would have to. "Rick? Do you wanna break up with me?" I ask with tears beginning to run down my face. He quickly turns around to look at me, a shocked and confused expression adorning his features. "Why would you think that?" He asks. "Why would I think that? Why would I think that?!" I scream at him as tears began to free fall. "You don't do anything that would show you love me. You don't kiss me, you don't hug me or even hold my hand! We don't do anything the couples are suppose to do!" I yell before he makes his way over to me as I breakdown into the palms of my hands. I look up at him and he hesitates for a second before wiping my tears away and pulling me in for a comforting hug. "I...I'm sorry we don't do 'couple things'." I was in shock. "I've never really opened up to anyone after Beth's mother and B...Bird Person." He says and I gasp. I hug him back tightly. "I'm sorry! I forgot all about that! D...don't worry about it Rick. I know you went out of your way for both of them, only for them to...Anyway, you don't having to worry about that happening to me!" I say and he pushes me away, looking into my eyes. "I've lost too many people and non-people I care about Y/N. You're not going to be the next gone. I promise you." He says and I smile. "Thank y-" "I love you Y/N." He says with a smile. "I...I love you to!" I say, crying from happiness as I hug him. "I'll let down my guard for you." He says. "Thank you." I reply, earning me a forehead kiss. "Now you need to sleep. It's 11:00 at night." He says, laying down with me. He holds me close and keeps me warm during the cold night. This is what I wanted!
