Chapter Five
"See you later tonight." I say to Dustin getting out of his truck. My car is now parked at his house. He hates it and that makes me love the stupid car more. He refused to let my drive. His argument was, it will just take up space in the driveway. He one, of course. He's so stubborn. All well.
"Ok. I swear if I call you, you better get here in like two seconds flat, I'm not kidding. Other than that see you later have fun." I smile sweetly and wave goodbye. Apparently we are going to sneak out around one and meet the guys, who are all staying at Dustin's. We are going bowling. I have never been bowling. Dustin is not surprised at all. The girls however are, they cant believe it.
"This way." Sydney ushers me up the stairs before I have the chance to see the rest of the house. Her room is big and bright. No surprise there.
There are snacks on her desk and a stack of movies. There are three sleeping bags set up on the floor and room for one more. My eyes travel to the bed. Aleigha is laying on it belly down flipping through a magazine pointing at pictures and articles giggling while another girl watches slightly amused. She has black and hair and very light skin.
"Justice." Sydney says making the girl I have never met look up. "This is Lindsey. She goes to school with me and Lee. Lindsey this is my stuck up neighbor that goes to the only private school in the freaking city. Just kidding this is Justice."
"Hey Lindsey nice to meet you." Justice waves politely.
"You too." I nod.
"Okay you can put your sleeping bag there." Sydney points to the open space between two of the other sleeping bags. I unroll the blue sleeping bag Dustin so kindly let me borrow and complete the circle. So far this is exactly how I imagined a slumber party to be.
Sydney jumps onto the bed causing the other girls to roll into each other. When they try to right themselves they realize there hair is stuck together. Its quite funny watching them trying to undo their hair and even funnier when Sydney tries to help and ends up getting it in even more of a mess.
I say nothing and walk over to the bed. I push everyone's hands away and quickly untangle them laughing the whole time because Aleigha is loudly complaining. I must say five minutes into the sleep over and I'm already having fun. That's a good sign right?
"Oh my god you're a life saver." Aleigha bounces fixing her ponytail and bobby pins. I roll my eyes and sit down on the bed with my legs crossed. God that girl has energy.
"So who wants to play truth or dare." Sydney ask. Justice rolls her eyes Aleigha scrunches up her face and I shake my head no. "Fine someone else pick something then."
"Four lies and a truth." Justice says. We all look at her curious. I've never heard of it, of course that's common with me. Sydney and Aleigha on the other hand have had lots of friends forever but they both appear to have never heard of it either. Justice rolls her eyes at us again. "The name describes it. Since there is three people guessing you tell four lies and a truth that way if no one guesses the truth there is still a lie and a truth left and know one really knows. But if someone guesses right they get a point. Generally whoever gets two points win." Justice shrugs her shoulders.
"I'm in!" Aleigha says excitedly.
"Me too!. How bout you Lindsey?" Sydney says.
"Okay." I roll my eyes.
