I woke up in my room, thankfully. I looked around and saw that everything looked normal, but I didn't exactly trust that. After being in the Hemmings House, I knew I was going to be on edge for a while. If I actually was in the Hemmings House. I couldn't tell if I dreamed the whole thing or not.

"Cooper," Michael said from the corner of my room with a smile in his voice. I jolted up, pulling my blankets closer to me as if they could somehow save me. "Glad you're awake."

"Get out." I ordered.

He rolled his green eyes at me. "Oh, c'mon, Cooper-"

"Don't you fucking 'come on, Cooper' me," I hissed. "I don't know what the fuck that was today but I don't want you near me ever again, got it?"

"Cooper, it was a joke." he laughed lightly, although his smile was fading now.

"And a pretty twisted one at that," I let out a sharp laugh. "Now get. Out."

"Bridgette-"

"GO!" I shouted, squeezing my eyes shut as I yelled with all the force I had. When I opened my eyes, Michael wasn't even there.

The small insane part of me that wasn't totally freaking the fuck out right now was angry that I immediately thought of Violet and Tate.

"Bridgette!" my mom shouted, bursting into my room. "Are you okay? What's all the yelling about?"

I looked cautiously around my room. What was going on with me? "N-nothing, mom. Just a bad dream."

She nodded slowly. "Alright."

She exited my room, and I threw the covers off of my body. I got out of bed and went to my mirror to examine myself. My eyes were red and puffy from crying, and I had a bump on the back of my head from when I hit the door, and my tailbone was sore from hitting the floor. I knew that this afternoon must've been real, but why was all of this happening? What was going on? It's only been two days!

A tap on my window broke me out of my thoughts. I spun around and gripped at my vanity. After everything that had happened, I was scared of just about everything. Calum was right, I shouldn't have hung out with Michael. He ruined my life within an hour.

I saw a tiny pebble hit my window, causing the tapping noise. I continued to just stare at my window, not knowing what exactly to do. Should I see who it is? Maybe Michael wanted to explain what was going on. I slowly walked towards the window and looked outside. I saw Ashton's mop of hair shining in the light the moon was giving off. His eyes were still clouded by sunglasses. I opened the window.

"What do you want?" I hissed in a whisper.

He pointed at himself and up to my room, asking if he could come up.

"Why would I want you up here after what you and Michael did to me today?" I spat.

He pointed to himself and waved his hands in front of him horizontally. It wasn't me.

I had to admit that he did get locked out of the room and he tried to get me out. I sighed, but gestured for him to come up. I didn't know how he planned on doing it, and I honestly didn't really care. I went and sat on my bed, pulling the blankets around me.

Ashton landed lightly in my room after a moment before closing the window. He sat on the edge of my bed and looked around the room, nodding slightly to himself.

"So what are you here for?" I asked him.

He whipped his head around to look at me. He pointed at me and then made a circle with his thumb and index finger, leaving his other three fingers in the air. Are you okay?

"No, I'm not okay," I said sharply. "I don't even know what went on this afternoon! I can't even tell if it was real or not. I have the bruises but that's it. I could've sworn Michael was in my room a little bit ago, but when I opened my eyes he was gone. I think I'm going crazy!"

Ashton shook his head and then sighed, putting his head in his hands. I knew he wanted to tell me something but he couldn't. He didn't talk.

"Ashton, you have to tell me," I insisted, my voice softer. "Please, you have to talk to me. I need to know what's going on."

Ashton looked at me and sighed again. He slowly shook his head and looked away from me so his back was to me. I crawled over to him and sat next to him. "Ashton?"

Ashton lifted his hands and slapped them down on his legs. He couldn't do anything. He wasn't going to tell me anything.

"Can you at least answer me something?" I asked. He nodded. "Am I crazy?"

Ashton half-smiled before shaking his head.

PSA: Bridgette isn't like, reading Ashton's mind or something when it's in italics, I'm just basically saying what Ashton's trying to say to make it easier for y'all. Bridgette's just good at reading his gestures.
