"Mabuti naman at kahit man lang dito eh you showed up on time." Unang pasabi ni Sir Torres, the English teacher who failed and asked Quinn to meet him after class. Sa lahat ng teachers ng Bentley, si Sir Torres ang pinakabata kaya masyadong passionate, strict and uptight sa rules of the profession.
"Sir, I want to talk to you personally rin, hihingi sana ng chance." pakiusap ni Quinn as she sat on one of the chairs in front of Sir Torres' table na nasa harap ng blackboard.
"If you think that I'm like your previous teachers na pinapasa ka just because your family used to own the school, you are mistaken."
"Ae, Sir, di ko naman pinagyayabang yan ever. Ni hindi ko ginamit yan as leverage.", deny ni Quinn.
"Quinn, I know that you know that you are luckier than most of your peers." sagot ni Sir Torres. "Maganda ka, mayaman. But why are you wasting everything? Bilog ang mundo. All the things that you have right now may be taken away from you any time. Education is the most important thing. Sana ma-realize mo yan. And I'm telling you this not to insult you nor underestimate your family's wealth but to let you know that I don't intend to fail you. In fact, I want you to pass. How would you feel if all your classmates have advanced at ikaw lang ang wala kasi you failed in ONLY one subject, English pa. Remember, you cannot take your major subjects without completing the prerequisites."
"I totally understand, Sir." Quinn answered without eye contact. "That's why I'm here to ask for another chance."
"You can retake the whole subject this semester. But I know your performance so if you are not going to make some changes, then I assure you, ganyan pa rin ang kalalabasan."
"I'm willing to work hard, Sir. Just please give me another chance."
"You are going to have to double your efforts. How would you like it if I'm going to give you a special project for extra credits?"
"What project? Willing ako Sir, kahit ano pa yan!!", sambit ni Quinn confidently.
"You know that the school always has a year-end play, right? It's part of the yearly fundraising event for a charity of the school's choice. This year, I heard it's for the Lopez Foundation for Alzheimer's." Bentley is a school for the most privileged kids of the society. Kaya students are also trained and encouraged to be part of charities and hold benefits and fundraising events for the less fortunate, like Bake or Yard Sales, Auctions and Raffles. The event that usually attracts the most sales is the school play, which happens on New Year's eve, every year. Aside from the fact that aspiring students have a chance to show their talents in theater, students who are popular also attract more viewers, so more ticket sales, and thus, more funds generated for the charity chosen that year. Last year was a play adaptation of Moulin Rouge, played by Sarah Flores and Matthew Rivera, the school's former power couple na gumraduate na. They generated 500,000 pesos in ticket sales for the Orphans of San Agustin.
"Ah, yes...yes...?" Quinn, said na parang walang alam. Paano kasi, hindi naman yun nanonood, nagbabayad lang ng tickets to support the event. But books, plays and things of the sort bore her completely. Even when compulsory, inaantok at harap-harapan pang natutulog.
"I will give you this chance for extra credit. I will give you the lead female role for this year's play. The board is still discussing the theme but a very good suggestion is a play version of the famous movie, the Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. As we all know, it's all about love in the midst of Alzheimer's, which is relevant to the charity of choice."
THE NOTEBOOK?!! ROMANCE?!! MAY KISSING SCENE YUN EH?!
"Sir, I just wanna ask, kasi diba, Nicholas Sparks, uhm... romance... The Notebook pa.. so yeah...uhm....may kissing scene... tapos may make out scene pa... tapos uhm... so uhm, im gonna do it?"
"Most probably. We want to make it as realistic as possible. But it's all part of the professional demands of the show."

"To tell you honestly, this year's play is specifically planned out for a very important person. Greyson Lopez. He's coming home and transferring to Bentley from London."
