Disconnected // Hemmo (DISCONT.)

It's only been two weeks since school has started. It was okay, same as usual. Except that new boy Luke. He hasn't spoken one word since i've seen him, i'm not even sure if he can speak at all. He was smart though. I noticed him getting all A's on assignments and he's also in my science class. i didn't notice him the first day because he sits in the very back, all alone. I'm not even sure if he has any friends. A part of me wanted to be his friend but then again he seems like so much to deal with. I don't want to have to force a hello out of him. 

"Are you almost ready, Kat?" Natalie knocked on the bathroom door. We were going to the first big party of the year at this boy Scott's house. His parties were the best. He knew people who could get unlimited amounts of alcohol and we always had fun. I was staying at Hails house and her parents don't care if we go to parties. Now my parents on the other hand would kill me if they found out. So of course I'm not telling them. I wore a red dress that goes right past my butt, yes it's a bit short but I wanted tonight to be fun. I put a little more make up on than usual and wore black pumps. Hailey wore a black strapless dress that goes mid thigh and black pumps as well. I'd have to admit, we looked hot.

"Almost! Just let me finish my make up, i'll be out in about two minutes!" I yelled through the door. Sure enough I was done when I said I would be and we called a cab and headed out. 

"I really hope Ty isn't here. If he is i'm hiding." I said rolling my eyes at the thought of him. I've seen him twice since we broke up and each time it was at a party. We were drunk both times as well and ended up making out until i realized what the hell I was doing. Not tonight though. I don't even want to see his face. 

"Well just enjoy tonight and find a hot boy at the party! I'm sure you'll have no problem with that." Hailey said nudging my arm. Normally i'm not the one to go around kissing boys but sometimes the alcohol just takes over. 

We got to his house at 11:20 and the party started at 11. You could hear the music booming from outside. Luckily Scott had no neighbors right by him so no one was bothered. We walked into the house and I immediately smelt the alcohol. We went over to the kitchen and grabbed a shot of vodka. Hailey and I did cheers to a great night of partying. I felt the familiar burning down my throat. We took two more and decided to go dancing. We found Michael and Ashton and brought them with us. 

"Hi you look.. Wow." Ashton smirked as we were dancing. 

"You don't look too bad yourself." I whispered into his ear. I wouldn't consider us a thing but we did have a flirtatious friendship I guess you could say. Sure we've made out a few times but nothing that has actually meant something. He was attractive so why not? Ashton grabbed my hips and turned me around so my body fit into his. We danced for a while until I could tell he was getting a bit tired and so was I. "I'm gonna go get a drink. I'll be back in a bit." I said to Ashton. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a beer. I decided to just go over to the couch and sit. I was checking my phone when someone walked up to me. Ty. The one person I was trying to avoid.

"Hi, um, can we talk, Kat?" He said putting out his hand for me to grab and go with him. Ugh. What could he possibly want? I wanted to say no but I don't know why. I just couldn't. I grabbed his hand and he led us upstairs, I'm assuming so we can talk in private.  He knocked on a door to make sure no one was in there. We went inside and sat on the bed.

"What the hell do you want?" I said harshly. I had every right to, he cheated on me.

"I miss you, Kat. So much. I fucked up I know, but it isn't the same." He said resting one hand on my leg. Great. This again. He's tried calling me before and telling me all this but I don't want to hear it. I keep telling him we're done and always will be.

"You're right you did. And you know who's fault that was? Yours," I said pointing at him. "We aren't going to be together again so you might as well move on and leave me alone." I said getting more frustrated with every word. I stood up and started walking out.

"Wait K-" I slammed the door and went down stairs to find Hailey and Michael. I found them standing in a corner talking. 

"Hey guys I'm gonna go down a couple blocks to that diner. I'm a bit hungry and ready to go." I said to them. 

"Okay! We will meet you there in twenty minutes." Hailey said smiling. We said bye and I walked out of the door. I checked the time, it was only 12:30. Shit. I completely forgot to tell Ashton I was leaving. Oh well, I'm sure he found a girl and will take her home or at least try to. I took of my heals because they were starting to hurt my feet. It was dark but the lights made it easier to see. I'll admit it was a bit creepy walking a lone at night. I decided to text Hails and tell them to hurry because I didn't want to be alone much longer. I wasn't to drunk, just a little maybe. As I was texting Hailey I didn't even pay attention in front of me. I bumped into someone dropping my phone. 

"Damnnit!" I said hoping my phone wasn't cracked. I picked it up and thank God it wasn't. "I'm so-" I go to say to the person I ran into, then seeing who it was. "Luke, right?" What was he doing out at 12:30 a.m? I mean I know I was out too but I was at a party.

"Uh, yeah." He said kind of quietly. This was the first time I've heard him talk. His voice was deep, I liked it. 

"Hi! What are you doing out this late?" I asked. I was curious. "Oh nothing. Just out." He said kind of quietly and quickly as if he didn't want to talk. But I wanted to talk to him. Half because I didn't want to be alone and half because he was so.. weird. Different? 

"Oh.. Okay. Well I'm heading to that diner down there. Do you want to come?" I asked before even thinking about it. He looked at me with a straight face. He seemed so mad, all the time. I've never seen him smile. 

"Uh, no I don't think so. Bye." He said quickly and bluntly. He nodded his head as he said bye, not even smiling. What was up with him? That was a little rude. He slid past me and continued to walk. I don't what it is about him but I want to know more. Why? I have no idea.
