Fifteen

It's about 11:30 by the time we get home. All my biological sisters are there. All six. Plus two of my step sisters and one of my half sisters.

"Hey, Alice?" I shout from my room.

I'm reading an article online about what love means and laying on my bed.

"Yeah?" She says walking into my room.

I close the computer screen.

"How do you know you love someone?" I ask.

"It depends," she says.

"How so?" I ask.

"Are you..." she starts.

"I don't know," I say.

"Name?" She asks.

"Kacey," I say.

"What is she like?" She asks.

"She's sweet, funny, and just amazing," I say.

"How do you feel when you're around her?" She asks.

"I mean sometimes I get nervous, but I get this tingly feeling when I'm around her," I say.

"Shauna," she says, "I think you're in love."

"I do too," I say.

"Anyway. What do ya want for dinner?" She asks.

"Don't know. Today's been long," I say.

"Agreed, pizza?" She asks.

"YES PLEASE!" I shout in relief.

"Okay," she says.

Beep! Beep!

I open my computer again to see someone is calling me on Skype. Their username is "Kbrooks486" so I have a pretty good idea of who it is.

"Hello," I say picking up the call.

I see Kacey's face on the screen.

"Nelson, is it working?" She asks.

"Yeah," he says, "I'm gonna leave you two be."

He then wheels himself away. Probably down the hall.

"What did he mean?" I ask.

"I may have told him," she says guiltily.

"About us?" I ask.

"Yeah," she says, "I swear it was an accident."

"It's cool," I say.

"You sure?" She says.

"Yeah," I say.

It's been about two hours now on Skype. No problems so far. Kacey looks confused.

"Kacey?" I ask.

"Shauna, I can't hear you," Kacey says, "Nelson!"

"Kacey, excuse me, but what the fuck do you want?" He shouts back.

"I need you to fix this damn computer," she says.

"I don't want to get up again," he says annoyed.

"Fine, Mr. Lazy," she says getting up and walking to his room.

"Hey, it's not easy," he says.

"How do I fix this?" Kacey says handing the computer to him.
