26 - i miss you

i sat in class, not being able to focus on anything as the seat a few rows in front was empty. no idiotic comments from the class. my baby was not there wearing his blue and yellow jacket.

"miss kole, are you alright?" the teacher snapped me out of my thoughts as i nodded.

"yes i'm fine," i replied as i sat up straight. kristen held my hand sympathetically as i faked a smile as i stared at his seat once again.

when bryce made an insensitive comment about the teacher asking me if i'm okay, i slammed my fist on the table. "bryce walker, you asshole. you caused justin to be drunk so he would get into an accident and here you are making insensitive comments about it," i scoffed as the teacher looked at me pitifully. "lilliana please sit down," she pleaded as tears threatened to fall as i grabbed my books and walked out.

"lilz, wait up," i heard zach calling after me as i continued walking with tears rolling down my face.

"lilz, lets skip the rest of the day," he suggested as he held my wrist and i turned around to see zach looking at me with worried eyes.

"fine," i said as he heaved a sigh of relief and we walked towards my car and we zoomed off, not caring if we would get into trouble.

i zoomed us off to the beach.

i never told this to anyone but justin and i used to sneak here in the middle of night and cuddle on the sand and stare at the sky that was dotted with stars and listen to the waves crashing.

"this is where i go to clear my mind," i said as i took a deep breathe of the ocean breeze.

i climbed to the top of my car and sat there looking at the waves and families enjoying themselves.

zach sat beside me as we both sat in a comfortable silence.

we both agreed to go to the hospital to see how justin is doing.

"first it was hannah, now justin is in the same bed," i sighed as i looked at justin lying in the bed, unconscious.

"this school has a sick curse on it," zach sighed and i scoffed. "bryce walker is that sick curse," i stated as zach chuckled and he hopped off the couch and he said that he'll be right back.

he disappeared behind the door and i sat there thinking about all the good times justin and i had. all the times i could just snuggle up to his chest in bed and every single worry would be forgotten.

tears trickled down my face as i quickly rubbed them away.

"i'm back!" he whispered as he held two cups of ice cream and i grinned for the first time in weeks.

"thanks zach," i thanked as he passed me a cup. "your favorite, strawberry cheesecake," zach told me as i gobbled it up.

zach and i sat on the couch talking for hours, waiting for a response from justin.

before leaving, i pecked justin on the forehead and stroked his cheek.

"i miss you baby, come back to me," i whispered in his ear before leaving his ward.
