C 1 - Maxie & Cam

Maxie's POV

Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.
I woke up with the sound of my alarm clock, arghh I don't wanna go to school! I just wanna stay at home, eat my favorite cookies and cream ice cream, and watch netflix all day. Why do I have to go to school? Why do I have to- wait, it's summer why am I worrying about school?

Before I continue talking to myself my best friend came barging in my room.

"Good Morning, Maxx!" Cameron shouted.

"What's good in the morning?" I replied sleepily.
"Oohh, grumpy maxie!!"

"Shut up you idiot"

"Ouch! You broke my heart!!" He said, touching his chest, faking that he's hurt.

You have no idea cam, how much you've broke my heart without knowing.

Well as you can see, Cam is my best friend. We've been bestie since birth, so I'm stuck with him. He is the captain of our school's basketball team, while I am the leader of our school's orchestra.

We are two different people, but when we're together, nothing's gonna stop us to have fun. We've done crazy things together, and he was always there for and is still there for me and maybe that's why.. That's why I'm inlove with him.

I didn't know I had feelings for him, since sophomore year. I realized that I like him, when we were in the dance, we kinda have a moment, and it was sweet, well for me, I didn't tell anyone about my feelings except for my other close friend, Maria.

But Cam is a playboy. An ultimate playboy. Every month he always has a new girl, but he always made time for me, and if his girlfriend did something bad to me, he'll break up with her immediately. Sweet right? but nah, I know his doing that just because of our friendship. I know this love is one sided.

"Helloooooo! Maxieee! Maxiee to the earth??" Cameron called me. I didn't know he was talking, I must've zoned out when he was talking about that famous basketball player in NBA, what was his name? Cabe Brant? Or was it Cob Braint? See? I'm not really interested in those things, I'm more in music.

Before I zone out again to my other world. I felt something cold flowing from my head to body and it feels like water. WAIT!
"CAMERON YOU STUPID ALIEN! I WILL KILL YOUU!" I shouted as I ran out of my room to catch my idiotic bestfriend.

You guys probably think it's weird that I called him alien, I'm suppose to call him that J word, but I don't cuss.

"Yes you do, you always cuss" My conscience said.

I hate my conscience, it always say bad things about me.

"drama queen, huft" Stupid conscience.

As I ran out of my house to catch that alien, I saw my parents in the living room all dressed up.
fudge! I forgot! We were supposed to go to the Birthday party of my grandma!

"What is going on here!?" My mother, Lizzy, said with an amused face.

"You young lady! Your late! why are you not ready yet? And why are you wet??" My dad, Alec, scolded me.

"Umm.. sorry mom, dad. I forgot we were going to grandma! and that idi--"
"Watch your language, maxie!" my father scolded me, again.
"Sorry, so as I was saying my veryy sweet and loving" I gritted my teeth as I said those words, "Best friend, no other than Cam, threw water at me!! And now I'm freezing and I have to catch him! Sorry mom, dad I'll just catch up with you guys later in the party!"
I ran away to go find that alien.

"Cam! Get out! I'm gonna kill you!" I threatened him.
But something caught my eye.

Cam, with another girl.

I tried to hold my tears but I can't so I ran back to my room. And cried my eyes out.

I've been inlove with him, but he never notices it. Can't he see? I was and will always be there for him. Can't he see that I'm the one who understands him, he belongs with me. Why can't he ever realize it. Why?

After 30 minutes of crying, there was a knock from my door.
" Come in ", I said with a tired voice.
My older brother, Ian, came in.
"Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay? I saw Cam with a girl outside.." And he finally knew why my eyes were swollen.

Well I tell my brother everything,so he knows about my feelings for Cam, and he was always there for me, that's why I loveee my broo! But not really!

Ian Anderson, is my older brother. He is already in college, with a course of Business. He's here because it's summer vacation!

YASS! It's the best time of the yearr!

"It's okay maxie, I know someday he'll realize his feelings, just don't lose hope okay? but if it hurts too much, and if you think you can't do it anymore, then just move on, I'm always here okay?" He comforted as he kissed my forehead.

"Okay.." I said.

"Now, we're late for grandma's party, I give you 30 minutes to get ready okay?"

"okayy.."

After 30 minutes, me and my bro went to my grandma's party.

When we reached there, I can see most of my relatives and some family friends, including cam.

I saw Cam, and when I was on the way to him I saw that he was with the girl before, I was about to tear up, but I hold it in.

My heart beats faster as I walked to his direction. And he finally noticed me, and called me.

"Heyy maxx! How are you??" He said, faking innocent.

"I'm gonna kill you! Just watch out!" I whispered to him.

"Oohhh, I'm scareddd" He acted scared.

And I can't help but laugh with him.
No matter how much heartache I have because of him, I still love him. I can't stand being mad at him. And he can't stand me being mad at him either hahaha.

"Um, max, can you be with her for a while, my mom is calling me" Cam asked.

"Sure." I faked a smile.

Then Cam left me with this girl, I want to know her.

"Heyy, I'm Maxxie, it's nice to meet you" I introduced myself.

"Umm.. Hi, I'm Tina Rogers." She said.

Well, she looks kind, but I don't know her to judge her. But she looks better than all of the ex of Cam, whose face is full of make up, ew.

So I started a conversation with her, and she was good to be around with. Maybe this is why cam likes her, she's pretty and kind. Far way better than me right?
