Unknown POV

I'm tired. I'm tired of acting as if I don't like her. I just want to show her my feelings, and I want her to be mine. But what about our friendship? What if she doesn't feel the same?

There's just something about her that I'm afraid to lose because I know I won't find it in anyone else. The way she laughs, the way her smile reach her eyes when she's happy, the way she glares at me when I tease her, I just love everything about her, and I don't want to lose her.

I'm constantly afraid that I'm not good enough..

Maxie's POV

After Cam stormed out of the cafe, the cafe was quiet and everybody was staring at our group. Especially after Maria told us what she thinks.

"Ever heard of mind your own business?!" Riley shouted. Right away everybody looked away.

"Um, I gotta go" I said, going out of the cafe to look for Cam.

I felt everybody's stare as I walk out of the cafe.

When I reached the hallway, I looked for Cam everywhere, but I know there's one place that Cam would probably go to.

I went to the Basketball Court, and I wasn't surprise that I saw Cam there.

"Hey Cam!" I shouted to catch his attention.

But instead he ignored me. Ouch.

"Hey" I said standing beside him.

"What do you want Maxie?" He snapped.

I was taken by surprise that he snapped at me, What did I do wrong?

"I want an explanation." I ordered glaring at him. I don't know what I did wrong, why is he mad at me?

"What explanation do you want Maxie?" He sighed looking at me intensely. Those eyes, his amazing blue eyes.

"Shut up maxie! This is not the time for adoring his eyes!" My conscience said. Oh right!

"I want an explanation to why you freaking snapped at me and why you stormed out earlier at the cafe? Cause I'm sure I deserve an explanation. I'm your best friend I thought best friends are always there for each other?" I said with a sad voice almost tearing up.

"I'm sorry Maxie, I just.. Um I just had something in mind before, and I wasn't really in a modd, I'm sorry for taking out my anger on you." He apologized.

"Are you sure? You know you can talk to me about it." I reassured him with a reassuring smile.

"Nah, it's not a big deal. Just about school stuffs." He said, but I'm sure he was lying, but I let it slip.

"Okay? If you have a problem just talk to me kay?" I told him.

"Yes of course I will, you're my shortie after all."

"Now there goes my best friend!" I laughed pushing him.

It was already go home time and I met up with Belle, Gwen, Riley, and TJ for our orchestra practice.

"Hey guys" Riley said.

"What time is our practice?" I asked.

"Um, still later, around 5:00 PM" Gwen replied.

"Oh okay, I'll be going to the band class first then. Bye" I said.
