Fear || klance

I wake with a shock. I'm surprised I fell asleep. All I remember is my back being pressed against the wall crying, now I am somehow in my bed. I decide not to question it and get up to get breakfast.

After making myself at least presentable, I open the door to see Shiro standing there.

"Oh, uh hey Shiro." I say quietly.

"Just making sure you were okay." Shiro smiles.

"I-I am, thanks." He looked like he wanted to tell me something, but I didn't push it. "I'm going to get breakfast." I state. He volunteers to come with me but I decline. I don't need an escort every time I leave a room.

I head down silently, staring at the structures of the walls. It was calming. I finally make it to the dining room.

"Oh hey Keith! You're here early." Hunk says confused.

"I am?" I question.

"Yea the food isn't even finished." Hunk laughs.

"Do you want me to help?"

"Sure! You can get plates out as well as silverware." He smiles.

I smile back, finally feeling useful. I also help him place the food on the plates, shortly after Lance rolls in.

"Jeez you're up early too!" Hunk exclaims.

"Keith what are you doing in here?" Lance questions.

"I came in a bit early so helped him finish breakfast."

Lance's eyes lit up when he saw the food. "Alright!" He exclaims. Then he takes off for the table.

Why was he up so early? I question, as I shove food in my mouth.

"Mhmm, this is good Hunk."

Hunk raises an eyebrow, "It's the same thing I make everyday."

"I know but it's just so good."

Hunk laughs, causing Keith to smile. I quickly put my hand on my face, attempting to cover blush.

"You okay Lance?" Keith asks, with his arms crossed.

"Me? Oh yea I'm a-okay."

Hunk snickers as Allura enters the room she freezes. "Did I miss breakfast?"

"Nope they were just early." Hunk motions to us.

"Good." she puts her hand to her chest. "Also hurry up boys we will be doing more fear exercises today."

"... we will be doing more fear exercises today."

Everything stops. I can't do it, not again.

Lance looks up at me with pity. I can't touch my food because if I do I might throw up.

Stop looking at me like I'm weak.

My ears were ringing, someone snaps. "Keith?" Lance questions.

I make eye contact with him. "Yes?"

"You gonna be okay?"

"Yea." I squeaked. "I'm sorry I must excuse myself." I say fast my heading towards the door.

I feel Lance get up, but I'm to fast and he can't catch up. I open the doors to leave and run into Shiro.

I fall to the ground with a yelp. "Oh god Keith are you okay?" Shiro asks getting close, trying to grab my hands.

I swat them away. "I'm fine now if you will excuse me." I say with annoyance running through my voice.

I head down the hall not looking back.

How would I be able to do it again?

Shiro barges in. "What happened with Keith?" Shiro asks with anger in his voice.

Allura put her hands up. "I just told him we would do more fear exercises."

Shiro slapped his forehead. "Why would you say that?"

"I just wanted him to know what we were doing today." She seemed afraid of Shiro now.

"Shiro despite what you might think, she didn't say anything bad, she just informed us." Hunk says.

Shiro sighs. "Well are we going to make him do it?"

"I'll ask him if he wants to," Lance says. "but I doubt he will want to."
