*So this is the first Chapter of the story updated(Cute_seun)*

The Monroes, a family of four drive into a place called Middle Gest, a small town in the country, far away from the busy city life. They're tired of the city and prefer someplace more quiet. Before deciding to relocate, they had bought a house in the town which was once inhabited by Michael Everlove, the owner and that was where they were headed.

In the back seat of the car is Amber, a pretty 18 year old girl with long brunette hair and big brown eyes who's going through her phone. Beside Amber is her younger brother, Davis who is her exact opposite if you scratch the resemblance. In the driver's seat is their father, Gabriel, a middle-aged man with the same hair color as his daughter and beside him humming gospel music is Barbara, his wife, her hair is black and her belief in God is thick.
Gabriel turns into the driveway of the house and it comes into view. It's a very modest house, enough to house a family of four quite comfortably; it was the reason why they chose it. 'Kids, we're here', Gabriel says. He comes out of the car and opens the door for his wife. She smiles at him, the little things count for her. As they begin to offload their luggage from the car, an old man approached them. He looked to be in his 70s and had a crazed look about him. "Trust me, you do not want to go into this house...I've seen...I've seen...people die in there...And the authorities only clean up the mess so they can fool a new family to move in..." He said in fear. "Well, if you would excuse me, who are you?" Gabriel asked. "I am Hampton Fire, and you must be the Monroes, you are the father of Amber and Davis and husband of Barbara Monroe "said Hampton Fire. "How do you know us? "Barbara asked with a fearful voice. She believed in spiritual things and was worried about what this man was telling them. A slightly obese woman passed by. "Don't listen to him. He's known as Mr. Crazy and is always trying to scare families away with his ghost stories. He really just wants the house to himself". She stared at him accusingly and continued on her way.
Hampton Fire walked away with a sad face, shaking his head, while Amber analyzed the man, wondering if what he was saying had some truth in them. Gabriel calmed and soothed his nervous wife and said to the kids, "Let's move in". Gabriel opened the door and a cold breeze blew from the house and on them. Davis shivered and whispered to Amber, "Do you think it's the ghost?". Amber looked at him solemnly, sighed and said yes. She smiled evilly inside, she loved to torture her brother and here, another chance had presented itself. Barbara looked disapprovingly at Amber, "This is not the time to scare your brother. Let's get our luggage so we can settle in before it's late".
The Monroes had settled in rather nicely; the house had been painted and cleaned so all that had been left was to arrange their belongings. While everyone was asleep, Amber decided to do a little exploring and wandered around the house. She saw a door, leading to the attic and she decided to check it out. She turned the knob right, no click, it didn't open. She turned it left, same thing. She began turning it left and right and suddenly, the door opened. As she pulled backwards in surprise and a bit of fear, she heard a voice say "I've got you".
