While reading your book, I found a few spelling mistakes (very rare) but that small fact aside I really am enjoying your book so far.
I am intrigued by Vena's backstory and I really do like how you put her in Slytherin. She seems like a very interesting character that I would like to get to know.
Your layout is extremely pleasing and I honestly love the words you use, they are very refined and shows that you have an understanding of more complicated language.
As the youngest in my family, I enjoyed how you brought up the fact about how Newt is being compared to Theseus. It adds a relatable note to your story.
The disease is extremely horrifying but in a good way. It's like one mystery folded into another and I myself find that very hard to write.
The portrayal of Newt is nearly perfect and I love how you didn't forget about Leta Lestrange. I am addicted to your book and I really do hope you continue.
I also do like how Vena also seems suspicious with what is happening like, what was that black mist?
Overall I am currently in love with your story, it is mysterious and dark but it has some adorable friendship moments (I am a sucker for Hufflepuff and Slytherin relationships.) I look forward to how you craft this story and i am definitely adding this to my library.
