Chapter 4. The Mission Bacillus

  After further health evaluation everyone heads toward to the Crew Deck. Amelia seems to be content that everyone is healthy and fine. But still she is dissapointed at the death of Sean Harris.

Upon reaching the Crew Deck..

Amelia : Please make sure to consume lots of liquids. It will help you all keep hydrated.

She tells everyone.

Everyone seems eager to eat some tasty dishes after spending 1 and a half year in Hiber-Sleep. SAI is busy serving water and food to everyone.

Dev Patel : " And who are you ? Mister "

SAI : Me ? Im SAI your humanoid assisant.

Dev Patel : Specifications please.

SAI : Bio-Synthetic Artificial Intelligence or B-SAI. Speed - 1 terrabyte. Processor - core z9 pentium. At your service.

Ethan Smith : He seems cool.

Dev Patel : Yeah I have heard. He is the best invention along with the Hiber-Sleep in the last decade.

SAI : Thanks Sir.

Sasha : After you all are done with eating and chatting meet me in the Mission Control.

Sasha gets up and head towards her room. Jennifer and everyone else started thinking that Miss Sasha must be a strict person.

Aadil Khan : What a drag she is.

Jacob Caine : Woo boy calm down! Don't you know she is the daughter of Dimitri Karpov, the person who funded  for this mission.

After spending a few more minutes eating and getting ready into their suits, every crew member starts to head towards the Mission Control.

Upon reaching there, they saw Miss Sasha Karpov all ready waiting for them on the Central Table.

Sasha : Welcome everyone! Please be seated.

Everyone finds a seat for themselves.

Amelia : I think this is the Mission Briefing. She whispers to Ethan seating next to her.

Ethan : Me too. He whishpered back.

Sasha : This is the Briefing on the Mission we are on. But I won't be the one giving it to you.

She pulls up a device from her pocket and puts it on the table. A Hologramic Figure of Mr. Dimitri Karpov lightens the whole room.

        Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen! Hope you guys are having a wonderful in Nexus 4A. My name is Dimitri Karpov, founder of UniWorld Corp. Im here to tell you about the mission....

     30 years from now Mr. Jacob Caine here, while working with the SpaceX program invented something called "Fusion Drive" which was meant to make space travel easier,shorter and economical. But the military got hands on the Fusion Drive and developed something from it known as "Fusion Bombs" twenty five times more effective and destructive than an atomic bomb. With the equipment of Fusion Bomb, the countries over the world grew more competitive and with competition comes chaos.

     Thus the III World War came to happen. Each and every country involved in the World War did not hesitate to use the Fusion Bomb. But the Fusion Bombs upon detonating emits huge amount of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) which depleted the ozone layer heavily. As of now the ozone layer of the Earth's atmosphere is depleted by 87%.

    Now why this Ozone Layer is so important for us. Well, it blocks the radiations from the Sun from entering Earth. But in the absence of it life on earth become impossible. Half of the world population was dead during the World War and the other half was killed by the radiations that followed.

      Here is when my UniWorld Corporation came to save the humanity. We built the spacecraft UNW-Ezion Ark, a spaceship so big that can hold the last of humans. We have been spending the last 10 years in UNW-Ezion Ark orbiting the earth. But we can't live like this forever, we need to rehabilitate earth again.

      And the only way to rehabilitate Earth is a microbe that can found on one of the moons of Saturn, Enceladus. This microbe Bacillus Megatorium produces ozone in considerable amount.

      Now,How important this mission is ? Well UniWorld Corporation along with the Sentinels have poured in 44.5 trillion dollars in making this Mission happen,the second largest investment after Ezion Ark. The success rate of this Mission is calculated at 22 % but let me tell you this Mission is our last hope of going back to Earth. SAI will be your assistant for the whole mission. And my daughter Sasha is the Mission director. So for any further questions you can ask her.

And yes ? Did I forgot to tell you all that if the mission becomes successful, everyone of the surviving members will be paid a bonus of 1.5 trillion dollar each.
