School for me is beginning in two days time and I'm so excited!! I received a call this morning that my parents and siblings are on board Emirates to London to visit me. Yayyy......then I thought, NOOOOOO.......my monkey siblings are going to bug me for the rest of the visit!!

Anaya was busy persuading Sonia to follow me to the grocers to get some eggs. The Butterfields would be arriving for lunch and I was halfway done with my boots and coat when the familiar grunt of the girl I mostly ignored could be heard.

"Mom......please.....I don't want to go!" Sonia was practically begging. I stood by the doorway with a bored expression on my face, sighing deeply. Sometimes that girl gives me the tension nerves.

"Be reasonable dear", Anaya said in her calm tone. That lady has amazing patience. I would be bawling by now. "Ferry is new around here. She wouldn't know her way around".

"But she has!!"

Oh. God!!!

With a heavy heart and the urge to give Sonia a ticking off, I took my boots off and made my way to the hall. Sonia's cheeks were burning, her eyes were huge and anger was written in them. That little brat had her arms crossed and head turned away from her mother beside her on the sofa imported newly from Russia. Rich folks!

"What's going on?" I demanded not too loudly, straining my eyes on Sonia. She lifted her head too look at me. I couldn't help staring at her even knowing I hated her in the first place. She was almost ridiculously pretty, what one of my novels would have called an English rose- all silvery fair hair, emerald eyes and creamy complexion. Sonia was wearing a bright blue tops and skinny jeans with rings on almost every one of her thin fingers.

'If she was robbed on the way, I won't be surprised', I thought.

"Nothing Ferry dear", Aunty Annie quickly said before a speech war began. "Sonia's just being selfish".

A look of hurt flashed across Sonia's frame and I smiled mentally.

"But mom...I'm unwell not...". Sonia glared at me. "Selfish.."

"It's just flu Sonia. I won't argue with you anymore".

Sonia looked defeated for the first time and she got up slowly to fetch her coat and beanie from the hanger. I said nothing and went to wait by the doorway until the shadow of the kid showed up and I flashed her a grin, trying to ease the tensing air space but her face was too sour to be sweetened so I gave up.

"Ready?" I asked, hand on the knob of the huge door. Sonia sighed and nodded, not looking at me as she adjusted her scarf around her neck. I opened the polished frame and immediately closed my eyes and retreated back as a gush of strong wind rushed in.

"By the angle....", Sonia muttered as she gazed outside. "It....it can't be possible".

I just stood there and stared. The roads, the pavements, the trees and the roofs were covered with....snow! Thick snow that was sure to drown us. I glanced at Sonia who looked pale and terrified. She was sick, right?

"C'mon", I said, pulling her back into the warmth of the house and closing the door. "This weather will kill you and trust me I'm too young to go to jail".

I saw Sonia smiled! For the first time at my lame jokes....and then, Anaya was rushing towards us and seeing we haven't left, she sighed with relief, Daniel behind her.

"The news", she said. "Come, take a look".

"Weather crisis?" I said, brushing my feline's fur gently. She purred.
