I wake up to the glorious smell of bacon and poptarts. I lean up and smile. Jess..... He's.... my.... Boyfriend now.... I stretch, finally getting up and going down stairs. "Morning." I say to Jess. He turns and smiles. "Good morning. A awkward silence falls over the room. But it's strangely a romantic one. "Your... bacon is burning." I say. His head snaps back to the pan and he places it on a plate."What's all this for?" I ask. "You." He replies. "Holy crap- Wha- Why?" I ask. "Because I'm happy that we're together. That and I woke up at five to recieve a nice phone call from a panicked nut at the office." He says. "Ooohhh..." I say in a understanding tone. He smiles. He places the plate on a table.
He walks over and pulls out a seat for me. I sit and smile at him.
"So what's the plan for today?" Jess asks. "Writing... I need to think of what to write." I tell him. "Ah! Okay. That should be easy. Right? Writing about your life? Your adventures with Lorelai?" He asks. "I guess.. I just... can't put it into words.." I say. "So you have writers block." He says. "Hmm... I guess I do." I reply.. Writers block was always rare for me. I've always spoke my mind. But now I'm writing a book. A book that requires a editor to read and approve... Oh god. What if this ends up like the first time I wrote for Doyle!? "You okay?" Jess asks. I shake my head clearing my thought process. "Yeah. I'm fine! I've just... have had writers block for a while now." I tell him."Well.... I'm sure you'll figure something out." Jess says. "Hmm... I gotta talk to someone." I say getting up. "Calling them?" Jess asks. I give him a smile. "Nope. Visiting them." I tell him

I stand outside of Lane's. "For the last time Zach. You're a rockin' Dad. Not a boring office idiot." I hear my best friend's voice. I knock on the door. "Is that your mom? Oh! Maybe she can book us another tour!" Zack says. Lane opens the door. "Rory!" She says embracing me. "Hey! I was wondering if I-" I stop and look at Lane. She looks tired as hell. "If you wanted to get some coffee. I'll pay." I tell her. "Sounds good!" She says already walking out. "Be back soon Zach." She says closing the door. She sighs. "Oiii..." She groans. "So. The entire town is buzzing about your pregnancy." Lane says.
"Well as long as it doesn't get back to Logan I'm good." I sigh. "So. Did you need to talk about something?" Lane asks. "Well... I want to write a book... but... " I pause. "You have writers block." Lane says bluntly. "How did you know?" I ask. "You have this frustrated look. The same one you had when you got your college application and thought you weren't good enough." Lane says. "Did you talk to Jess?" Lane asks. "Yeah. He's really supportive. But.. I don't know I didn't really mention I wanted help..." I say. We walk into Luke's and Luke smiles. "Hey!" He says. "Hey Luke."
We sit at the counter. "We are in dire need of some coffee." I say. "Alright. One regular and one decaf." He says. "Oh crap. Caesar!" Luke says. "What?" He replies. "You didn't refill the coffee bag!" Luke says. "Oops sorry." He says. Luke sighs. "I'll be in the back for a bit." He groans. Me and Lane burst into a giggle. "It feels like we're in highschool again." Lane says. "I know right!" I laugh. "So are you and Jess a thing yet?" Lane finally says after our laughter died down. "Yes." I say. "It's about time!" She says happily. Luke comes from the back and begins to make coffee. "So when's your first doctor'sappointment? " Lane asks. "Today. At three." I reply. "Get someone to go with you. "Lane says. "I agree. "Luke says. "Well Colin and Finn are out of town." I say. "Oh no. That's not good news." Lane says. "Nah. It's nothing bad. They're trying to sell some tennis racket that's signed by some sports dude." I say. "Ah." Lane says. Luke sets down our cups. "Thanks." I say. "On the house. Mostly because Lane looks like she hasn't seen the sun in god knows how long." Luke says. I hear the door open. "I need coffee." I hear mom say. He silently points to me. "Hey kid! Did I know you were here?" Mom asks. "Nope. I was being totally spontaneous." I reply. "What brings you hear to the Hollow of Stars." Mom says. Luke pours mom a cup of coffee as she sits down. "Writers block." I say. "Ah!" She says. "Well. Tell them that your mother is crazy. And can smell snow." Luke says. "Oh shush. You love me." Mom says with a eye roll. Luke smiles and kisses mom. "Ugggghhhh. Get a room." I say sarcastically. Lane laughs. "Well he does have one upstairs. "Mom says jokingly. I fake gag. "Gross." I say.
"Well moma needs help again." Lane says getting up. "Alright. Love you. Get some sleep." I tell her in a embrace. She pulls away and walks out the door. I turn back to mom. "Don't you have a doctor's appointment today?" Mom asks. "Yes. And I'm supposed to bring someone with me apperently." I say. "Well... I'll go" Mom says. "Really?" I ask. "Yes." She says.

I walk out of the doctors office. "What the hell was that seat!?" I ask mom. "Ah yes. The uncomfortable chair to make a pregnant woman sit in." Mom says stretching. "Ugghhhh. I now feel bad for Paris's patients. "I groan. "It feels nice to go in there and not be the one pregnant." Mom says. "Mom!" I say. "What? I'm just saying it only gets worse. I notice you have a baby room set aside. "Mom says. "Yeah." I reply as we get into the car. "Well. You're most likely going to want a recliner in there." Mom suggests. "Jess is already on it." I tell her. "So... Any more encounters... with Logan?" Mom asks after a long silence. I shake my head. "No. " I say in a meek voice. "Hey..... What do you say to movie night at your house tonight. Except me and Luke sleep over and we have tons of food and crap?" Mom asks. " sounds like a plan." I say with a smile. And then it hits me. The perfect writing in my mind comes to me and I feel excited. I unlock my phone typing what my writing needs.
All I need to do to begin the first chapter is write about movie night and our wacky house rules.
Short chapter. Yes I know I suck. But I've been in TN for about a week. Here's some pics!
