Chapter 20: Be alright

For the first time in front of her sister Kimberly shed a few tears of her own but she knew she had to be strong for her sister. Not knowing what to do Kimberly stood up and took the duffle bag out of the closet.

"We leaving we can't stay here tonight." She said to her sister who was still in a daze. Kimberly put on her shoes while watching her sister do the same.

Toni woke up from the noise she heard seeing as her bedroom was right next to the room they were suppose to be sleeping in. As soon as Toni walked in the room her eyes landed on the opened box that sat on the floor.

"What's the matter?" She cautiously asked the two causing Kailee to cry even more than before and Kimberly just roll her eyes.

"We leaving." Kimberly said harshly making sure all their things were packed.

"You guys aren't going anywhere in the middle of the night. It's dangerous out there." Toni said sternly.

"Well we can't stand to be near a liar sis! Or should we say mom?!" Kailee yelled in aggravation causing Toni's hear beat to pick up. She was shocked they found out it was too late to tell them now. All the warning her mother did she wished she listened to it.

"You guys still aren't leaving." Toni said sternly ignoring what Kailee said.

"Watch us." Kimberly said with a smirk and grabbing her overnight while her sister did the same.

Toni stood infront of the room door trying to stop her but Kailee gently pushed her out of the way causing Toni to protect her stomach giving the girls a change to run out and Toni had no chance of getting to them. Kimberly and Kailee got into Kailee's car speeding away from Toni's house.

"Drop me off at Andre's apartment please." Kailee said wiping her tears away as Kimberly nodded.

"Are you okay?" Kimberly asked her sistr that was younger than her by 12 minutes.

"Yes I'm okay." She said looking at her sister with a genuine smile.

"Are you okay?" Kailee returned the question making Kimberly nod her head in return.

"Don't go now on a fucking ramage, just call Jerome." Kailee said causing Kimberly to roll her eyes. Jerome was the only man who could tolerate her attitude,who could tolerate her period.

"We don't talk anymore." She simply said.

"Okay Selena Gomez." Kailee said laughing.

"But no seriously go see him, he phoned telling me I quote:'Tell your sister to answer me before I find her and fuck her up.' So go see my brother in law sis." Kailee said letting out a heartfelt chuckle.

"I'll go see him." Kimberly said defeated knowing he will come and look for her.

"Stay safe and call me when you get to your destination." Kailee said grabbing her bag and giving her sister a hug.

"Love you sis." Kimberly said as Kailee said it back. Kimberly found her way after an hour of driving around in front of Jerome's front door ringing the doorbell. She had to ring it more than once and even knock considering the time.

"Who is it?" She heard his raspy voice causing her to smile through her tears.

"Who is i-". He wanted to ask again but he swung the door open cutting himself off seeing the love of his life in tears.

"Bebe..." he let out  heavy breath calling her the nickname nobody calls her but him.

"I need you right now." She said falling in his arms bursting out in tears.

"Mom are the girls here?" Toni asked frantically walking in her mother's house looking around. After drivin around for four hours it was now seven in the morning. And her last resort was her mother's house.

"Toni what are you talking about?" She asked tying her robe and covering her mouth to yawn seeing as that she was up all night.

"The girls! They found out about everything and their mad and they drove away from my house angry..." Toni said making her mother get a bottle water for her.

"Toni sit down and calm down. Here drink some water." She said making Toni gulp the water.

"They hate me." Toni said sadly while her mother rubbed her back.

"It's okay Tone they don't hate you they just need some time. And I'm not gonna say I told you so because right now you need a shoulder to cry on." Her morher saud comforting Toni and letting all her daughters know to be on the look out for the twins.

Toni was tired from all the crying she did andseeing that she didn't get any rest the previous night making her extra tired she decided to go lay down in one of the twins room causing her to cry herself to a much needed rest.

"Kenny!" Towanda yelled from the kitchen making Kenneth roll his eyes but come sowntsaurs because he was starving and he knew Towanda was calling him to eat breakfast that the cook made.

Making his was downstairs he slowly said a morning prayer asking God to give him patience for his wife.

"Morning Towanda. "He said as she dished food that was on the table set out like a buffet.

"After this we are going to my mom's house." Towanda said in a demanding tone.

"Do I need to drop you off?" Kenneth asked with a blank facial expression.

"What do you mean do you need to drop me off?! No you need to come with me!" Towanda yelled out faking breaths to calm herself down afterwards.

"Please Kenneth be considerate for once." Towanda said sitting down.

"Why do we need to go to your mom's house ?I have work to finish up." Kenneth asked making Towanda look at him in annoyance.

"Why are you working on a Saturday?" Towanda asked but shook her head.

"You know what don't even answer that. My mom needs me while my bitch of a sister needs me. The twins finally found out that Toni is their mother." Towanda said with a smirk making Kenneth drop his fork in his plate in shock thinking of all the possibilities running wild in his head.
