Chapter 19: mama

Kenneth and Toni were at work in their own world. Neither one of them spoke to each other since the argument. Toni stayed locked up in the guest room until early the next morning early leaving.

Both in their own offices working as usual to get rid of their thoughts. But Kenneth couldn't take it anymore it was killing him inside that he hurt her with his words. Honestly it wasnt his intentions to hurt her it was the feeling of feeling overwhelmed with all this news hitting him all at once.

He looked across the hall seeing that she was still working when people could go home an hour ago. Being the bigger person he stood up and walked across the hall to go to her office.

"Tone..." he said walking in taking a deep breath seeing her quickly wipe her tears pained his heart.

"Yes?" She asked picking up her cup of coffee and taking a sip from it.

"I want to apologize for what I said. That was utterly disrespectful of me and I regret it. I regret every word that came out of my mouth Toni,I'm so so sorry baby." He said moving closer to her as she blinked her tears away. He pulled her into a warm hug.

"Do you forgive me?" He asked her whispering in her ear.

"Yes..."She said throwing her arms around his neck.

"I love you so much and you know that...I'm happy that I get to experience you having a baby. "Kenneth said making her hurt swell,her heart was telling her to tell him but her mind was telling not to. She was torn between the two.

"Even though the timing is wrong,you have to bear with me,I'm going to tell Towanda about everything, us the baby...I just want to live my life with the one I love." Kenneth said looking Toni in her eyes as he wiped her tears away. She was speechless, he pecked her lips a few times before the two decided that  they were ready to leave.

Towanda looked down at a sleeping Trayvon while smiling small. This is where she spent all her time at. As soon as Kenneth and Bianca left the house she left as well spending time with Trayvon. Instead of helping Trayvon look for a job or look for one herself she spent her time in his bed.

Quickly getting up out of the bed as said a quick prayer in her head before getting her handbag and took the four pregnancy tests out of it. Going into the bathroom and locking the door behind her she quickly opened the boxes peeing on all four sticks setting the timer on her phone and washing her hands quickly.

Looking at herself in the mirror she looked at her flat stomach.Running her hand over it she closed her eyes.

"Lord please just let there be a baby inside of me." Towanda said quietly. The timer went off startling her,she went to the basin and saw that all four pregnancy tests have two lines on. Smiling Towanda quickly threw the sticks in the bin as well as the boxes. Rolling toilet roll off she threw it in the bin on top on of all the pregnancy tests.

"Thank you God." She mumbled smiling.

Toni opened the door for Kailee and Kimberly to come inside. After having dinner with Kenneth and cuddling with him and watching a movie. She finally realised that she had to she was two months pregnant, thinking back to the time in the Bahamas where they had sex without a condom and she forgot to take the morning after pill the next morning and she doubts she took her birth control faith fully.

"You look gorgoues." Kimberley said to Toni making her chuckle. The two came prepared for their sleepover in their matching onesie's. Tamar couldn't make it becasue she had a date with Vince for their anniversary.

"Phones away!" Toni said to Kailee as she chuckled sending the last text message to Andre' saying she made it safely to Toni's house seeing as Kimberley went to fetch her at Andre' 's apartment. Kailee put her phone away hugging Toni.

"Everything is set in the theatre. I'm on my way just getting the spice for the popcorn." Toni said as Kailee and Kimberly went to the theatre and Toni went to the kitchen.

The two reclined the seats in the theatre and sat in front by the mini table where all the snacks were. Toni soon came back and pressed play to Addicted all four of them wanted to badly see the movie but only the three of them were going to see it at the same time.

"This movie better be as good as the previews made it to be." Kimberly said throwing the tiffany blue blanket over all three of them.

After the two over movie Kailee was in tears and Kimberly rolled her eyes at her dramatic sister.

"That was such a beautiful movie." Toni said as Kimberly agreed.

"Well I'm tired so I hope you prepared the guest room for us." Kimberly said as Toni chuckled.

"Yes I did." Toni said as Kailee helped her pick up the mess and clean up.

"Kimmi are you going to bring a boyfriend home? You don't want to be smiling like your sister?" Toni asked Kimberly as she rolled her eyes.

"No,I have my fun here and there. But....a boyfriend. No,that is definitely not an option at all."Kimberly said making Toni chuckle.

"You're going to fall in love one day trust me." Toni said patting her shoulder and giving her a small smile.

"Goodnight Tone." Kimberly said as they went their separate ways.

Kimberly and Kailee settled in the guest room. With Kimberly freshly showered packing their clothes away in the drawer while Kailee was in the shower. Finally Kailee was done in the bathroom coming out with her pajamas on.

Opening the closet Kimberly threw their duffle bags in there but something caught her eye. It was a white box that read 'confidential important paperwork'. Taking the box out she put it on the floor and sat in front of it. Kailee saw and sat down next to her sister.

Opening the box lid she threw it the side. The first thing they saw were the sonagrams but this time they were a bit later and they could see two babies. Kailee took it from Kimberly's hands and stared at it. They both knew what it was but neither wanted to say it.

Next were two birth certificates on either certificates were their names. 'Kimberly Tiara Braxton' and 'Kailee Tasha Braxton' what shocked them the most was the name and the signature by the parents.  Toni's name was there as well as her signature.

"Toni is really our mom..."Kailee said breathless blinking her tears away.
