I went home and took a nap. When I woke up, it was time to pick up Cass. I threw on some jeans and toms then went to August's mother's house. When I got there, I knocked on the door and August's mama opened the door. Her face lit up when she saw me.

"Hey Skylar." She hugged me.

I returned her warm smile. "Hey Mrs. Alsina."

I walked in and sat on the couch.

She eyed me suspiciously. "Is it Aug's?"

I gave her a confused look. "What?"

She laughed. "Child, you're pregnant. I can tell."

I shook my head. "No, I am not."

"Girl, I'm a mama. I know when a woman's pregnant or not."

Pregnant. I can't be pregnant. But then again, that'd explain why I was feeling nauseous and dizzy these past few months.

I shook my head again. "Sheila, you're crazy. I am most definitely not pregnant."

She chuckled, and August walked through the door. "WASSUP MA."

I rolled my eyes because he was here.

Mama Sheila hit him in the back of his head. "Boy, don't be walking in this house like you running shit."

He chuckled and walked to the living room where I sat.

"Look who's here." He smiled.

I frowned. "I told you I was coming at 8."

He nodded. "Thats exactly why I came."

I looked at him. "You never give up huh?"

He laughed. "Nah, I don't give up until I have what I want."

I gave him a faint smile. "Nice."

He looked at me. "Im taking you out tomorrow so be ready at 2."

I looked at him. "No. I have to register Cassidy for school."

"I wasn't asking you. Be ready." He said walking upstairs to get the girls.

A few minutes later, he came downstairs with the girls behind him.

I stood up smiling. Mya, Kay and Chay gave me a hug and said bye to Cassidy.

The next day, I registered Cassidy for school and I left to D's house.

When I got there, Tori was already there.

"So you picking her up at 3 from school ok?" I told Tori.

"Why the hell you cant pick up your own child?" D asked as he brushed his wig.

"Why the hell you can't mind your business nigga damn?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"Well damn bitch, no need to get fiesty 'fore I have to give you the hands. I aint tryna do that to you girl" D said.

I laughed and Tori said, "She's going out with August." I rolled my eyes at her. "Damn! Just tell my business then."

D put his hand on his chest with a shocked look. "I feel insulted. You gon' tell this ole' loud ass mouth hoe but not me. That was fucked up chile."

I laughed. "You'll get over it D. I'll see yall later."

I got up and walked out the door and headed back home to wait for August. Soon as I pulled into the parking lot, August's car pulled up. I got out my car and walked to his car.
