(A/N: Sorry if you're an expert rice picker and I got something wrong about the rice picking.. Lol)

 [Sho POV]

The sun was falling, my energy slowly dying with the disappearing rays of light. We had to thresh the rice that had already been picked, and for the rest of the day we just harvested. Harvested, harvested. The process itself wasn't that tiring but going at it for hours on end would really take its toll on anybody.

"We'll be finished a' soon a' the sun goes down." the old man muttered, and thank the gods for that. I'm done with this. 900% done.

The sun wasn't all the way down yet, but I've already decided to retire for the day. I've worked hard enough. I look to my side to see Kaname still hard at work.

"Dude, stop working so hard. The sun's pretty much gone now."

He continued to work, avoiding eye contact as he spoke. "We have to keep going. If we can't even handle doing basic stuff like this, then we are no where near ready for even a B-rank mission."

I scoffed. "Well, speak for yourself. Don't you remember how bad we beat down Genma-sensei?"

"He wasn't even trying."

"Yes, he was!"

"Wasn't."

"Was."

"Wasn't."

"Was!"

Kaname stood up abruptly and wiped his hands. The sun had gone down. He stretched, and started walking down the path.

"C'mon, fellas, to the house!" the old man yelled, or, well, tried to yell before choking on his spit.

Just before I stood up, Kaname thumped me in the back of my hand.

"Wasn't," he whispered as he past. I snorted. What an asshole.

We followed the gravel path up to the old couples' snug, warm-looking wooden house. Inside, Grandma and Misaki had prepared a small feast for us.

"Wow, this looks great!" Kaname said. He was not lying, the food looked mouth watering.

Grandma smiled. "Wash your hands and dig in!"

[Kaname POV]

I dropped the blankets on the barn floor and promptly fell face flat into them. My arms were wrecked, and my back as well. The quick bath we took in the river was soothing, but not soothing enough.

"We're sleeping in a barn house. Yuck. Can you imagine what kinds of animals pooped on this floor?" said Sho, a disgusted expression sprawled across his face.

"Farm animals, I think." I said, joking around.

"I would never have guessed." he replied sarcastically.

I sat up and spotted Misaki looking outside intently. She seem focused on the sky, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Do you see something odd out there, Misaki?"

"The moon," she said, "I forgot that there was supposed to be a lunar eclipse tonight."

I stood up and joined her, staring at the night sky through a little opening between the closed barn doors. The moon, instead of its usual pure white color, was a bright, vivid red. It looked a lot like..

"Blood," Sho said quietly.

"Oh yeah, the Blood Moon eclipse. I think ani mentioned it a couple days ago." I recalled, vaguely remembering Kakashi talking about it last week.
