I was woken up by someone tapping me.

"Huh?". I groaned.

"We're here". Zack smiled down at me.

I sat up looking around to notice that we were sitting in a McDonald's parking lot. I rubbed my eyes, and got out. I latched on Bailey's leash and we got out the car. Mom found us a table.

"So we need to check into the hotel. It's 3:45 now, so do you want to check in and hang or check in and go to the park?". Mom asked me.

"Hang out". I sighed.

I handed Bailey to Zack and went to get some food.

"Hello, how may I help you?". The clerk sighed rudely.

"I want a 10 piece nugget meal, with a large fry, and a sprite for the drink". I yawned.

"Will that be all?". She sighed.

"Yes". I answered pulling out money.

I handed it to her and in return she gave me a receipt.

I came back to the table.

"Is it just me or was she really rude". I frowned at Zack.

"Yes she was". He agreed.

Bailey licked Zack's hand causing him to cringe.

"You know you like it". I teased.

"Back at you eye part". He smirked.

I rolled my eyes at him.

We ate in silence while Bailey begged me with his eyes to give him a fry. I made sure no one was looking and passed him one.

"Iris!". Mom called in a scolding tone.

"You know I can't say no to those eyes". I whined.

"Don't feed him that junk. He'll get fat". Mom mocked my tone.

Bailey hopped up in my lap and growled at Mom.

"Hey be nice to Grandma". I scolded him.

He relaxed in my lap watching Mom slowly.

"Please don't call me Grandma I'm too young to be a Grandma". Mom cringed.

"Please, I became a grandma at thirty-three". Grandma rolled her eyes.

We all looked at her.

"Yep. My son the fat one knocked a girl up at sixteen. Worse day of my life. But my grandchild was the only good thing out of all this". Grandma recalled.

Wow. I was eighteen and wasn't even thinking about boys. Let alone children.

"Well guys let's hurry it's almost four". Dad stood from his seat.

We all threw our trash in the garbage and headed back to the truck. Bailey chased his tail out of excitement.

"Sit". I commanded.

He took a seat. I took one of his treats out of his bag and fed it to him. He barked happily.

We rode to the hotel with Dad playing his old music.

"This music is so old I haven't even heard it yet". Grandma joked.

This caused everyone to laugh.

"Well since your such an expert what would like to listen to?". Dad smirked.

"Hm-got any of that Rihanna girl?". Grandma asked causing the car to go silent in shock.

"Grandma what do you know about Rihanna?". Zack quizzed her.

"Well one day I was in the retirement home and one of the nurses had left her cellular device up on my bed and she had a song playing. It was Rihanna and it was just the most catchy thing I've ever heard". Grandma explained.

"What song?". I asked.

"Love On the Brain". She answered.

"I guess she fooled you Carter". Mom giggled.

Dad turned a few knobs on the radio and Rihanna' s song Cheers came on.

Zack, Grandma, Mom and I sang along as Dad grimaced.

We arrived to the Disney Hotel a while later. Dad goes to check in as we all gather our bags and Bailey's stuff. We head up to the rooms.

"This is nice". I gave the room my approval.

"So you and Zack can share this room and your Dad and I will be across the hall, and Grandma is next door". Mom informed me.

I nodded.

"We're going to dinner so you guys have until 8:30 to explore and do what you want". Mom left us in the room together.

"What do you want to do?". Zack asked unpacking.

"We should go to the pool". I shrugged.

"What about Bailey? Can he swim?". Zack looked at me like it was a stupid idea.

"I'm sure Grandma wouldn't mind his company". I rolled my eyes.

"Ok. Just give me a few seconds to change". He sighed getting his swimming trunks from his bag.

"I'll just go drop Bailey off then". I shifted toward the door with Bailey in hand.

I dropped Bailey off to Grandma and went back to the room.

"You can change now". Zack was gloomy.

"Zack what's wrong?". I frowned.

"Nothing just a bit tired". He shrugged.

"Well we don't have to go to the pool if you don't want to". I stared at him.

"No. I'm fine, let's just go". He headed for the door.

"Let me get changed then". I walked toward the bathroom with my bathing suit.
