Having a baby was both the most amazing and stressful thing that has ever happened to Kihyun.

Yes, they were extraordinarily adorable and always kept you busy. Hwan simply smiles and Kihyun's day is immediately brightened. Just the thought of coming home after a long day of work to see his precious tiny human waddling over to him to hug his legs is the most precious part of his day.

But, with all the memories and the cute moments comes money. Kihyun, despite working 2 part time jobs now, still barely affords to pay for everything. Formula is crazy expensive and diapers are no joke. Add in wipes, baby food and clothes for his growth spurts and Kihyun's wallet is practically starving by the end of the week. He thanked his landlord greatly for being so lenient with him, or else he would've been broke.

At now a year, Hwan was waddling around the small apartment, using the walls and everything he could hold onto as leverage since he still fell over all the furniture. He had yet to speak a word but is able to laugh and smile. That's all Kihyun needed to hear from the baby anyway.

"Hwannie..." He cooed as he got dressed hastily. The little baby was in the livingroom, eyes fixed on the colorful critters singing Hangul on the tv. Of course, Hwan didn't even glance at him when Kihyun uttered his name. Kihyun didn't expect him to either.

As he rushed around the house to find his name tag for the retail store he worked at, he heard the doorbell ringing. It signaled that the baby sitter was here. Kihyun opened the door and gave him a quick greeting, saying the usual 'thanks for babysitting ill be home by seven' before diving back into his room for the name tag.

"Finally all dr-" Kihyun was about to finish before he saw a man completely confused holding a tray of brownies.

He was a tall, muscular man with a baby face. His small eyes were widened a bit as he looked at the scene before him. Thick lips were parted to form an O shape as he unintentially flexed as he gripped the tray. His hair was stylishly messy, and in all of the shock, he still looked like Ryan the Lion from Kakaotalk if he was personified.

Kihyun found himself staring as Hwan turned to the man aswell. It was all silent for a moment before kihyun groaned and began preparing for the day per usual.

"I don't have time for why you are here. I'll pay you if you watch my kid till seven. Here's a scheduale of all the things he does in a day and his name is Yoo Hwan. Just call him Hwan. My phone number is also on the paper so call me if there's any trouble." He instructed quickly before taking a brownie  and trying to pull on his converse.

The man snapped out of the trance and set the tray down, kneeling to the height of the child and smiling awkwardly. He truly seemed like a large awkward teddy bear, so hopefully Hwan wouldn't mind the change in plans. Plus, the babysitter was supposed to be there an hour ago so Kihyun would've ran around for a replacement anyway.

"Hi..." The man greeted as the small baby clung to Kihyun's leg. "I'm Hyunwoo."

Kihyun nodded and tousled the boy's soft brown locks, prying the baby off his leg and kissing his forehead. "Say hi to the man and be nice okay? Mommy's gonna be back before you know it." He reassured per usual.

Hwan only looked at Kihyun with a sad frown, kissing his father/mother on the cheek before Kihyun had to stand up and leave. As Hwan waddled back to his spot in front of the TV, Kihyun's soft expression became a murderous one.

"My Hwan even has a fucking paper cut I'm slitting your throat with the same piece of paper you hear pretty boy?" Kihyun threatened. Hyunwoo gulped, nodding quickly before letting the angry only parent leave.

Once everything was all settled and done, Kihyun took a deep breathe to calm himself, wondering why he even trust a stranger to watch his kid. He immediately fears for the decision, but the guy seemed pretty scared of his threat. He had nothing to worry now, knowing the big guy was an actual living teddy bear.

He drove to the retail store he worked at, glad he made it in just in time. He checked it and got to his spot behind the cash register, watching his co-workers and also best friends open up the store. The store was a busy place the moment it opened, mainly because they sold brand names for a better price. They also sold hair dye in the far corner that was pretty popular now a days.

Kihyun worked his job as he did everyother day, glancing at his phone every so often to wait for a text or call from Hyunwoo. First days of babysitting isn't always the best, especially if your forced into it. He was more  worried for Hwan though, since the baby didn't do well with strangers.

As time passed and Kihyun switched jobs from retail worker to cafe dish washer, he grew more worrisome. There was not a single text nor a single call from Hyunwoo. His mind began thinking of impossible scenarios, like they both being murdered or Hyunwoo just abandoning the kid all together. Well, the last one might be reasonable if you were a sicko. If so, Kihyun will find Hyunwoo and stab him.

After his shifts, Kihyun raced home to see his baby again. He almost got pulled over for his speed but they can't pull you over if they can't catch you and you're already home. Kihyun jogged up the set of stairs and fiddled around his keys, opening the door and letting it fly open.

All his worries and doubts vanished within an instant, however, as he saw the sight before him. The apartment was cleaner, more organize then when he had left it. In fact it was cleaner than it ever was. Hwan was doodling colorful scribbled onto a piece of paper and Hyunwoo seemed to fear for his life about the child getting a cut. It was when they both noticed Kihyun that the awkward atmosphere disappeared into a happier one.

Hwan ran with all his might over to Kihyun, hugging him tightly. The pinkette lifted the baby into his arms and kissed his cheek, looking at Hyunwoo who was smiling. Kihyun was fiddling through his man purse for the money, but Hyunwoo gripped his wrist to stop him.

"Don't, it was fun." He said, his voice genuine and sweet.

Kihyun smiled at him and bowed the best he could with a baby in his arms.

"Thank you so much." He said "Can I call you again tomorrow then?"

Hyunwoo nodded, scratching the back of his neck. "I was originally over to say hi to all my new neighbors...But baby sitting one of their kids was a plus." He said.

Kihyun's eyes widened, immediately apologizing before being stopped by Hyunwoo again.

"It's fine~ I'll see you tomorrow pinky."

With that, Hyunwoo left the two alone in the house. Kihyun's heart began thumping rather loudly as if it was going to hop out of his chest. Hwan must've noticed, since he pressed his ear against the area where his heart was.
