chapter 13

                    ~Jessica~

I suddenly wake up from a sharp pain in my leg, I couldn't open my eyes, it was like they were glued shut. I start to move my leg until I hear voices, so I listen to one of the deep voices.

"And that's when Charlotte called to inform me about Jessica" a man said ending with a sigh.

"Are you sure it was her father?" He asks with a questioning tone.

"Stepfather, and yes it was him!" a female voice says almost yelling.

"Okay, what's her stepfather's name?" He says with a sigh.

"ANDREW STARR!" the female yells out.

"No need to yell miss.....?" He says while dragging the s in miss.

"Charlotte, Charlotte Bowman" she says in a annoyed tone.

That's when it hit me, the female voice was Charlotte, and that can only mean that one of the male voices belonged to Joshua.

I quickly opened my eyes to see that im in a white room, I looked over to see the curtain by the door pulled closed. I looked to the bottom of the curtain to see his and Charlotte's shoes.

I move my arms and tried to pull myself up into a seated position, just as I started moving my leg got caught on the blanket, creating a sharp pain going through my leg.

"AHHH SHIT!" I yell while the pain keeps increasing.

As soon as I yelled the curtain was pulled back and in a matter seconds I was in someone's arms.

"Oh my god, Jessica" Joshua says while holding my face.

"Where's Charlotte?" I say looking into his eyes.

"She left to get food" he says with a smile.

I was about to look away but what he did next took me by surprise, he put both of his hands on my face and looked into my eyes, after about a minute his breathing slowed down.

"Are yo-...." I was cut off when his lips were pressed against mine.

Joshua pulls away and looks into my eyes and smiles.

He opened his mouth to say something but that's when a knock at the door stopped him.

"OH MY GOD JESSICA!!!!!!, YOU'RE AWAKE" Charlotte yells while pushing Joshua over so she can sit on the hospital bed.

"The doctors are letting you go home, but......" She says while looking like she was holding something in.

"Speak up Charlotte" I say while laughing.

"Your mom and Andrew are here to sign you out" she says with a frown.

"And she says you are going home with them" she says with a sympathetic smile.

"The hell she's not" Joshua yells.

"She is not leaving my side" he says with anger.

"Calm down Joshua" I say with a frown.

"Jessica I don't want anything to happen to you" he whispers.

"Well then, I'll wait in the hallway while you two talk" Charlotte says while clapping her hands together.

After she left the room Joshua looked at me and then down at his hands.

"Jessica I think I have feeling for you!" He says while tugging at his hair.

What. The. Hell????
