Chapter 23

I sat there mouth wide open because of what just happened.

I grab my belongings and shove them into my book bag, I grab my phone and shove it into my back pocket. I stood up and walked towards the door.

"Jessica!, where are you going?" Asked Joshua.

"I'm going home!" I started while slamming the classroom door shut.

I walk out of the school and text Charlotte to come out to so she can take me to her house, but she was busy in class. I sigh and realized that I had to walk to her house.... so might as well start now!.

As I begin to walk I saw a path that me and Charlotte took as little kids to get home, I haven't been this way in years. I walk down that path and I clear my head. What if I just switch schools?, or I can just move?, but what about Charlotte?. She is the only reason I'm still here, even my mother turned on me.

I realize that I'm at the end of the trail and I see Charlotte's house. I take out my spare key and unlock the door, I walk up to "my room" but it's the guest room. I throw myself onto the bed and screamed. I can't take this anymore, why is my life so complicated?.

I start to think about my future and then my eyes start to close.

~TIME SKIP~

I groan as I hear yelling downstairs, I slowly get up and walk to where I hear it. I'm fully awake by the sight in front of me, Charlotte and my mom fighting about me and Andrew.

"She's your daughter!" Charlotte yells.

"Exactly that's why I need her home!" My mom yells back.

"She's not going home so you can sell her body to Andrew" Charlotte shoots back.

"I can do what I want with her because she lives under my roof" my mom shouts.

Charlotte takes a step back , bends down and pats the floor and looks at my mom and with the scariest voice she says

"Try me bitch"

My mom looks so scared and distraught she takes two steps back and tries to regain her composure.

But before she could start Charlotte starts to shut the door but before she does she says .

" how about YOU GO PIMP YOURSELF FOR MONEY AND NOT YOUR DAUGHTER " she yelled while fully closing the door.

I walk into Charlotte's sight and just look at her.

"What tf did I miss?" I ask.

"Just your mom" she says while smirking.

We walk into the kitchen and grab some ice cream and head to the living room, we then turn on Stranger Things and continue watching. This is our favorite show. But nothing last's forever , we finished the season.

We both got upset because now we have to wait for the next one!. I get up and get ready for bed, brushed my hair and teeth, took a shower, and changed into my pajamas.

When I got into bed and my head hit the pillow I was out.
