I know I said the ending was coming, but I was wrong. Completely wrong.

The moment Charlotte got to her locker at the end of work, she knew something was wrong. She'd opened the door to find a note. It was handwritten, and familiar. We've found you. We're coming. Charlotte had tried not to show any kind of fear or worry on her face as she headed home, but the moment she got there Charlotte dragged Fred into the kitchen.

"I have to leave," she started immediately. Fred, of course, tried to protest, but Charlotte put a hand up. "No, listen," she carried on calmly. "My family are after me. I don't know what they want, or what they'll do if they get me, but I have to go into hiding. Right now, it is the only way I'm going to be safe." She paused, and let Fred take in that small bit of information. She wasn't even done yet. "I'm not finished," she added, as Fred went to speak. "You have to leave to. You can't go with me, so I'm only going to suggest this once. You go back home, to your parents. You take George and Ella too. Do you understand?"
"Why?" Fred asked, slightly confused.
"Because they could hurt you," she said softly. "If they get you, they could torture you, to lure me out. And I can't even think about that happening."
"Are you sure I can't come with you, Lottie?" Fred tried, grabbing onto her shoulders. Instead of replying, she gave him a card.
"My boss's info is on there. If you need a safe house or something, please, please, please call him. He'll help," Charlotte informed.
"Why can't I go with you?" Fred repeated.
"It's not safe! They could come for me at any moment!"
"Then let them come!" Fred yelled. "And I will stop them. I will protect you. Lottie, I am never going to let you go, okay? If you want to go into hiding, then we will do this together. But I am always going to be by your side," he promised. Charlotte blinked. Before she could say anything else, though, there was a smash. And another one. And another one. And suddenly about five Death Eaters were inside their flat. Immediately, Charlotte and Fred pulled out their wands and turned so that they were back-to-back.
"Are you sure?" she whispered to Fred.
"Sure sure," he promised. Suddenly, the one closest to Charlotte moved forwards. She chucked a spell at him and felt a small prick of relief as he went flying back into the wall, becoming unconscious. The next one had his go too and took a little more work. In the end, as he tried to grab her, she put a little bit of her training to good and twisted his arm back, so that she'd probably broke it. Charlotte then sent him unconscious with a spell too. The last one she fought was the hardest. Something about him seemed so familiar, slightly reassuring. But it made it all the worse for Charlotte, because she'd managed to pull off his mask. She gasped as everything stopped around her. The Death Eater himself paused, obviously not expecting that to happen.
"Cas?" she whispered unsurely, and then Fred knocked him out with a punch. Charlotte stared at him in despair.
"What?" Fred said. "He deserved it. He was going to hurt you," he told her, as he used the phone-on-the-wall to call someone. Fred finished, and made his way over to Charlotte, pulling her into a hug.
"Sure," he whispered, as she started to slowly cry.
