One of my father's favorite things to tell me is we could dress you in the ugliest things and you would never know.
He thinks it's hilarious.
I used to laugh at them, his jokes and comments about being blind. Everytime he said something like that I would laugh because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
I find myself laughing at things that hurt me all the time because I have no clue what else to do.
Elijah doesn't really say anything that hurts too much, usually he just talks to me like a human being.
He slips up and so do I.
He apologises.
I don't.I wish I was more like him.
