Now the two of us are sitting on the couch and Baby's head is in Eliza's lap and the rest of her body is in my lap.
I try not to move because my experiences with dogs have not been the best at all.
Eliza's aunt sings to her wife and everyone besides the two of us is laughing.
When I look over at Eliza a single tear is running down her cheek, just one.
No one else seemed to catch it but me.
Slowly I put my hand on Eliza's since it is on Baby's back.
She turns it over and puts her fingers in between mine.
I hope my hand isn't sweating too much.
