The creatures of the dark

First confrontation

It was midnight as Sheriff Toofier wakes up from his slumber. "It's time..." He gets up and put on his pants, belt, vest and hat. Quietly, he left the room and stopped by the kitchen. He grabs an apple and walks out the house, then to the stables. The sheriff wakes up his horse and she was still sleepy. "Beau? Beau wake up. I'm sorry about this but we need to go to Pete's farm." Nodding, she gets up slowly and he feeds her the apple he brought along. "There ya go.... Eat up.... We have a long night ahead of us if we wanna catch those filthy bastards...."

The sheriff was hiding in the background of the pig pin while Beau was awake and waiting in front of the Ssillers' home.

Faint footsteps were heard in the distance as low growls were loud enough to be heard too. Looking up from shining his gun, he gets up and look from over his hiding place. "Looks like this it's my lucky night....." His eyes widen as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Creatures with violently vibrant glowing eyes with the intent to kill and have a body of a wolf though it was bigger and has more 'weaponry' than a normal one. "What is that thing....." There was 3 of them and uses their claws to slice down the fence and creep into the pen. "So that's how they destroy the fence and get in.... Huh." They were sneaking up to a pig until they heard something and looked his way. He ducks and doesn't move as they sniff the air. "Shit....." The creatures soon continue to creep up on their prey. If those things captured and killed their the pig or pigs tonight, another livestock would of been lost. He knew it was now or never and let them claim another victim from the Ssillers' farm. "Looks like it's time to spring into action...." Pulling out his gun, he jumps out of his hiding place and aims it at him. "Hold it right there ya bastards!" They freeze and look at them as growling. "You bills are now over due." Sheriff Toofier put his hand on the trigger ready to shoot. Slowly, they started to back away as their eyes glowed brightly. "Oh hell no. Y'all not goin anywhere and y'all aren't goin to jail." The man and creatures were ready to spring into any action they were prepared to do. "Y'all are goin to hell!" With those words, the monsters run off and he puts his gun away then run. He runs towards Beau and in a instant she takes off as he swings onto the saddle. "Let's go Beau! We need to stop them!" She neighs and goes faster. They had a short headstart but was fast and was a long distance from them. They look back to see the sheriff and his horse then nods at each other like they knew what they had to do. "Come on.... Show me where you suckers hide......" The creatures run towards an area with bushes, cactus and more. "We can't lose them.... Come on Beau! I believe in you!" Beau nods and starts gaining on their tails. Ever second that they ran into the land of little vegetation, it got darker and darker. Soon, the creatures disappeared and couldn't be found. "What the?!? Beau where they go?" The horse shakes her head not knowing where those things went.

The sheriff was on foot now with the horse walking next to him. Suddenly, he heard growls around him and something lunges at him. "HOLY SHIT!" He pulls out his gun in a instant and shoots at it. It flies back as it recovers, it was the creature he had encountered. "You.... Where's your brothers so I can take them too." The bullet wound, located on the side of his brain, healed like nothin and the creature spits out the bullet. "WHAT THE FUCK?!? What are you?!?" The monster grins evilly and growls at it. Six more appear as the horse backs away. Her rider grabs onto the saddle and aims to kill. "Beau......" They continue to creep up slowly on them until they paused. They were about to lunge, attack and kill them both. "GO! GO, GO, GO, NOW!" They lungs as Beau runs and Sheriff Toofier swings on to the saddle. The monsters don't stop, instead, they pursuit them. "Beau we need to out race them! Or at least out maneuver these son of a bitches!" Their teeth and fangs were out and snapping. Soon, the man notices a cliff as they gain on the duo. "Beau! The cliff!" She looks over and nods as she curves towards it. "Beau! Let's do this!" The horse increases speed then jump.

They don't land on the other side but instead land in a cave that was under the surface and keeps going. The monsters that chased them stopped and didn't follow the two. "Looks like I now know what we're up against..."
