Spock p.o.v.

It had been a year since Vulcan was destroyed and as we headed towards a planet we were to survey we came across an unmarked vessel. And per the captain's orders we brought the vessel aboard the Enterprise...... Dr.McCoy, Jim and myself boarded the craft with phasers set to stun. We came across a big room looking to be meant to be used for training purposes. Then rooms looking to be personal quarters for a crew. The kitchen we found next all there was was dried meat and some frozen fruit of some kind. We found a hallway that most likely led to the bridge of the ship. On either side of the hall was skulls of various species some still had spines attached. "They seem to be hung up as trophies of some kind." I suggested. "Fascinating."

Jim and Dr.McCoy looked at me strangely before continuing.

We made it to the bridge it looked like it was designed for two or three people to fly. The captain's chair had strange symbols all over it. As I was studying the strange markings I heard Dr.McCoy call out. "Jim, Spock you're gonna want to see this."

I walked as fast as I could over to Dr.McCoy to see three pods in the wall. One was open and whatever was inside had turned into dust. The other two had living beings inside. We could only see the one in the middle fully and she looked beautifully unique. Her face looked human but everything else looked different. Dr. McCoy opened the pods and we brought the two of them to the brig after he checked their vitals but seeing as how this was a species we hadn't heard of he most likely did not know what was normal for them.

Once they were safely inside the brig we monitored them until they started to wake. The male woke up first he seemed to be dazed. Just as he was clearing his head the female woke up looking less dazed. When the male saw the female he said something to her in their language that I couldn't understand. Uhura had never heard this language before.

"H'chak! My mei-jadhi, are you alright!?" Even though I did not understand the words I could tell he was worried for the female.

"Hult'ah. My mei-hswei, I am fine. Are you alright?" The female replied in the same language only it sounded a bit different not as many clicking sounds as the male.

I noticed the male had no nose, his mouth was open with mandibles that spread out to form his 'mouth', his eyes were deep-set and his head was shaped bigger and wider than any species I have come across to date, his skin was reptilian like and colored that way too he almost seemed like he could blend into the jungles of Earth, he was approximately 7 feet tall, and I calculated that he had enough muscle to overpower seventeen Starfleet security officers.

The female however looked more human than her male counterpart. She had a nose, a human-like mouth but from the scans Dr.McCoy had done I knew she had mandibles they were just hidden under the skin on her cheeks, her eyes were also deep-set but less so than the males and her head was the normal shape for a humans, she was approximately 6 feet tall an inch shorter than myself, and she had almost the same amount of muscle as the male.

They both seemed to share the reptilian skin and the clawed hands as well as clawed feet. Their hair didn't look like hair and Dr.McCoy said it looked like they had 'dreadlocks'. I should look this term up later.

The female was finally fully aware and not dazed. She looked out at us then to her male counterpart then back to us. She walked up to the glass and then what she did next shocked me.....even though logically it shouldn't have.

She spoke English.
