WARNING: This will be a really short chapter. But I'll make sure the next one is really really long to make up for it.

~Huge Time skip~

Spock p.o.v.

I returned to the ship with Khan and I made my way to the Med Bay where Watcher, Jim and Mercy were laying down. Jim was dead and had been since I left the ship but according to Dr.McCoy Mercy and Watcher had given out and died only a few minutes before I returned.

He took Khan's blood and injected it into all three of them. I stood next to Mercy thinking back to what Spock Prime told me the first time I contacted him. Eventually I would have to decide, Nyota or Mercy, it was a puzzling decision. Finding a logical solution would be nearly impossible so I had to defer to a human response......my feelings.

~Time skip~

When Jim woke up I sighed in relief thinking Mercy would wake up soon as well. When she didn't I became......anxious, so to speak. When the time came to go into space again for the five year mission, I asked that we be able to bring Mercy and Watcher on board as McCoy was their doctor and the only one who knew anything about how they're bodies worked. It was approved and the two were brought aboard the Enterprise for the remainder of their care. I checked on the two of them from time to time. When Watcher woke he became frantic and attacked the nurse who attended his machines, we lightly sedated him shortly after Nyota calmed him down.

I doubled my visits after that, once in the 'morning' and once before my evening mediation before I rested for the 'night', The evidence said that she would wake up soon.

The only problem was.....How soon was soon?
