I sit on the bus to Jupiter, awaiting for my stop at the library. I look out the window, observing the scenery as I go by. I haven't slept in days. The sleep begins to weigh my eyes down until someone beside me speaks up. "Hi!" I jump up, paranoid that someone is coming after me. But no, just a little girl. I look at her skeptical.

"Hi." I look her up and down. Her platinum blonde hair sweeps messily over her fair skinned profile. The sky blue eyes of hers looks at at me playfully and excited. She has a face you just can't say no to; But I can.

"You wanna play uno?"

"No thanks." I rest my elbow again on the window seal when she speaks again.

"I spy?"

"No."

"Dominoes?"

"No I'm okay."

"Mahjong?"

"Look," I raise my voice in frustration. "I don't want to play any of your games. I just want to sleep." She pouts and turns her head forwards. I resume to my sleeping position when she jabbers once more.

"Whats your favorite show? Mine is Spongebob, he's really funny. I really like chocolate. I'm 8 years old. Whats your na-"

"Stop!" I shout aloud. Every passenger on the bus turns to me. I can see tears in her eyes well up. I take a deep breath to compose myself and sigh. "I'm just... tired okay?" She nods woefully and I roll my eyes. "My name is Casey. Where are your parents?" She swipes her tears away and shrugs.

"I don't know. My auntie put me on this bus and told me not to get off until it got far away. I haven't seen my parents." I cock my eyebrow, confused at her story. The bus comes to a stop and I get up.

"Be safe, okay?" She flashes a bright smile, showing her missing baby teeth. I get off and head to the library. I sit at a computer far away from everyone and I look up bus schedules. I find a route to Savannah Georgia and print out the ticket.

"Excuse me ma'am?" A lady stands beside me at the printer with the little girl from the bus in front of her. "She was wondering around looking for you." She hands me her, as if she has already caused enough trouble for the woman.

"Thank you." I say the a fake smile. I wait for the lady to leave and I kneel down. "Why are you following me?" I growl at her.

"Because, I trust you." I shake my head in confusion.

"Trust me for what?" Her smile shines brightly across her face, as if I'm the person she's been looking for.

"To help me find my parents."

"I'm not a babysitter okay? I have my own business to take care of. I'm sorry about your parents but that has nothing to do with me. Now leave. Me. Alone." I grab my book bag, take the bus ticket and walk out. I can hear her footsteps behind and I turn around in anger. "I said no-"

"I need to find Charlie Gold!" She exclaims. My body goes numb at the mention of his name. Why would she need to find him? I shake the thoughts out of my head and finally speak.

"How do you know him?" Her expression turns sour and the smile on her face grows weaker.

"I saw his name on a paper my dad wrote out before he took them." I run my hands in my hair in frustration. I walk up closer to her and kneel down to her comforting.

"Okay, we can't talk about this right now. Anyone could be listening. I'll take you to a motel and we can speak there." I offer my hand out to her and she hesitantly takes it.

We walk to the nearest motel and get a room. I lock the door and sit on the sofa, waiting for her to tell her story. But she says nothing. Her whole demeanor has changed from her warm happiness to an icy presence. Her 5 year old facade turns to the look of a 25 year old. I sit back in the chair and sigh. "You don't have to tell me if you don't feel comfortable." A tear trails down her cheek and she begins to speak.

"It was a regular day, my two sisters were playing in front yard while I was on time out in my room. All I heard was the front door slam open. I heard my mom screaming and so I hid under my bed. It was about 10 minutes after all the noise was gone. I walked downstairs and the living room was a mess. I found a piece of paper on the table that had his name on their. I walked to my aunts house and told her. Then the next day, she put on the bus to go to my grandmas, but she was never there to pick me up. So now I'm looking for this guy, but I don't know where to find him."

"You do know he's dangerous. If he took your family he won't hesitate to take you." She nods her head.

"Kills me or not, I need to know why." I have to give the girl props. We both don't desire revenge, but justice and answers. Then it hits me. I don't even know her name.

"By the way, whats your name?" Her smile returns, the smile I've grown fond to these past couple of hours together.

"Its Kyra, Kyra Nor.
