It was half an hour into their journey. Poppy was sitting with her arms folded, looking out of the window as Tris complained.
"I can't believe you did that Poppy!" Tris snapped, "I was getting along with those boys! They call themselves the Marauders, you know and they're so cute! I mean Sirius Black is just so... I think he likes me and we were all getting along so well, then you have to come along with your Legilimency and scare them! They probably think I'm a freak now too! I'm going to find them and reassure them that I won't pry into their minds and that I'll respect their privacy, unlike you!"
With that, Tris flounced out, her brown hair waving behind her. Poppy turned as the door slammed shut. Tris didn't know what she was getting herself into. Sirius Black was a complete player and would probably jump all over Tris's heart. Lupin was a werewolf, for Merlin's sake! James Potter was a troublemaker and if Tris wasn't careful she'd end up in hot water. Peter Pettigrew seemed harmless, but there was something about him that Poppy didn't like. Poppy was brought out of her thoughts when the door slid open.
"Tris?" she said, looking up hopefully.
"No, sorry," a voice said.
The door slid fully open to reveal a red-haired girl with bright green eyes. A badge gleamed on one side of her Hogwarts robes.
"I'm Lily. Lily Evans." the girl introduced herself. "Mind if I sit here? James Potter's annoying the hell out of me and Marlene."
Poppy arched her brow.
"James Potter?" Poppy asked. He was one of those Marauders that Tris was obsessed with. "Sit. And tell me everything. Do you know the Marauders?"
Lily nodded gravely.
"Unfortunately I do. I'll tell you everything and I'll try not to be biased. But seriously, James Potter is a complete idiot." Lily said.
Poppy laughed and leaned closer.

In the Marauders' compartment

"Anything from the trolley! Anything from the trolley!" a voice rang through the train.
The boys perked up and started digging money bags out of pockets. Tris, confused but willing to go along with the boys, started to pull out her own money bag, but was halted by a hand on hers. Tingles flew up and down her arm. Sirius.
"No need love," he smirked, "What's your favourite sweet?"
Tris blushed and smiled at Sirius in what she hoped was a flirty way.
"I have three," Tris said in a soft voice, "Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs."
Sirius laughed heartily. Tris loved his laugh, his smile, his hair, his mesmerising grey eyes. A round of laughter brought her out of her Sirius-based thoughts.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Tris asked.
James Potter chuckled again.
"Sirius said that unlike your creepy-ass sister you're not afraid to stare at him." James laughed.
"I also said I like a girl who's got an appetite," Sirius chipped in.
Tris blushed fiercely as Sirius handed her a pack of gum, a packet of beans and a couple of chocolate frogs.
"So Tris, what's up with your sister?" James asked.
Tris choked on her chocolate frog.
"What about her?" Tris coughed.
James shrugged.
"Like how did she know our names?" Remus asked.
Tris coughed some more and the piece of chocolate that had been stuck on her throat came flying out. Sirius waved his wand lazily and the chocolate vanished.
"She's a Legilimens." Tris said, with a slight feeling of betrayal creeping up on her. She shook it off.
"Are you friends or sisters or what?" James asked, "Cause you don't look anything alike."
"Apart from the eyes," Remus interrupted.
Everyone turned to stare at him.
"Sh- They have pretty eyes," Remus faltered.
James and Sirius laughed. Peter joined in uncertainly.
"So who are you parents, Tris?" Remus asked desperately, trying to clear the awkwardness.
Tris felt her impending doom hovering over her. Here it was. The parents question. If anyone here found out about her parentage, she'd be finished.
"S-same father," Tris mumbled, "Different mothers. Me and Poppy have the same father I mean. Different mothers. Poppy's mother is Greek. Apollonia Rosewood. My mother's English, Demi Gold. Our father is Marvolo Riddle."
The Marauders nodded. Peter lay back, clearly intending to sleep. Tris let out a yawn. Sirius pulled her back against him and Tris felt herself drift off.
