With Poppy

Poppy stared in shock as Sky Hunter crumpled to the floor. Someone screamed. Another Death Eater pointed their wand at the screaming second year. A flash of green. The girl fell to the floor, dead. The older years started forming a ragged protective wall in front of the younger students. The Death Eaters' cackles filled the room. One laugh seemed familiar to Poppy.
"Scarlet Lestrange, you bitch!" Poppy screamed.
Uneasy muttering from the Death Eaters. One raised their wand and pointed it at Poppy.
"You dare turn a wand on me?" Poppy snapped. She was aware that she sounded almost exactly like her father in that moment. "You dare turn a wand on your lady? I am Persephone, daughter of the Dark Lord and if you knew what was good for you, you'd leave. Now."
The last word was a snarl. The Death Eaters panicked and started Disapparating hurriedly. Once the last masked figure was gone, the protective wall the older students had formed broke. Everyone stared in shock at the two dead bodies on the floor.
"I'm getting a professor." someone whispered, then they ran out of the room.
Poppy slowly walked towards Sky Hunter, who was lying facedown on the floor. With shaking hands, Poppy flipped the fourth year on to her back. Her eyes were still open, but she could no longer see anything. Poppy reached out and slid Sky's eyes closed.
"Ave ataque vale, Sky Hunter," Poppy whispered.

With Charlie

Charlie looked up in alarm as a second-year Slytherin raced into their common room and promptly burst into tears. Tris slid out of her seat and started comforting the sobbing girl.
"What's up, sweetie?" Tris asked, concerned.
The Slytherin girl sniffed and gulped.
"Sky Hunter and Seraphina Morgenstern are dead!" the girl announced, then burst into tears again.
Mutters swept the room.
"What do you mean, they're dead, sweetie?" Tris asked.
The girl gulped again.
"T-there was d-death eaters," the girl sobbed, "a-and they k-killed them, and t-then P-poppy Riddle m-made them g-go away. S-she said something a-about p-persefnee and t-they ran a-away."
Tris went pale.
"Persephone?" she asked urgently.
The girl nodded tearfully. Tris looked like she was going to start crying too.
"She's telling the truth," Tris said, turning to the assembled Gyriffindors.
A first year started crying. There were mutters that graduated into whispers, which became shouts.
"All of you shut up!" someone screamed.
All the Gyriffindors turned to see a Slytherin seventh year standing at the entrance to their common room.
"You've all got to come into the Great Hall." the Slytherin said. "Dumbledore's orders."
The Slytherin turned and ushered the still sobbing first year out of the portrait hole. There was a minute of silence, then every single Gyriffindor started trying to get to the portrait hole at once.

With Charlie

Death Eaters, here. In the castle. Charlie felt herself break out in a cold sweat. Remus grabbed her hand and Charlie immediately felt calmer. They Gyriffindors arrived at the Great Hall in a pack and pushed inside the doors. There were purple sleeping bags spread out on the floor. Slytherins sat around in groups, either crying or just shocked. Charlie saw Poppy sitting with Chloe. Poppy had her head on Chloe's shoulder and Chloe had her arm round Poppy's shoulders. Giving Remus' hand a squeeze, Charlie broke free of the crowd if Gyriffindors and made her way to Poppy. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Tris do the same. As the two Gyriffindors reached the two Slytherins, Poppy's eyes filled with tears.
"What happened?" Tris asked as soon as she had flung herself down next to Poppy.
Poppy burst into tears. The other three girls started trying to comfort her.
"I feel so guilty!" Poppy cried. "They listen to me! I should have stopped them! I shouldn't have this Mark on me! I'm not like them!"
She dissolved into tears again. Charlie couldn't help but feel guilty. It was her fault Poppy had the Dark Mark. If it wasn't for her, Poppy and Tris never would have been to that horrible place at all. The wails of the Slytherins filled the hall - but Sky Hunter could never cry again.
