With Scarlett

Scarlett hesitated at the door to the Great Hall. She saw her sister's distinctive head of frizzy dark hair. She made her way over to Bellatrix, intending to ask her everything about Hogwarts. Scarlett sat down on her sister's left.
"Hey, Bells," she greeted.
Bellatrix turned to her twin with a beaming smile. The smile grew wider when Persephone flung herself in the seat on Bellatrix's right, an expression of anger on her pretty face.
"Hello, Scarlett," Persephone said. Scarlett inclined her head. "Those Gyriffindors are so full of themselves!" Persephone snapped. "We need to get them back."
Scarlett nodded eagerly, as did Bellatrix.
"We need to hit them where it hurts." Persephone decided. "Lupin."

With Charlie

Charlie couldn't help but send anxious glances over to the Slytherin table. Every time she caught a glance of Scarlett or Persephone, she felt a flood of terror run through her. Charlie was broken out of her memories by Tris and the Marauders sitting down next to her.
"I can't decide who's worse," Tris said conversationally. "Scarlet or Persephone!"
She and the Marauders burst into loud debate. Charlie pulled a piece of parchment and a Muggle pen out of her pocket. She'd found the Muggle pens to be much easier to use than quills. Charlie quickly scribbled down a note and pushed it in front of Tris.
"Both of them are bad," Tris read aloud.
The Marauders nodded in agreement.
"Why didn't you just say that then?" Tris asked.
Charlie shook her head, embarrassed.
"You can't?" Remus asked in shock.
Charlie grabbed another piece of parchment and wrote another note, then handed that to Remus.
"It turns out that if the Cruciatus Curse is used too many times on one person, it destroys their vocal chords," Remus read out.
His face crumpled as he realised what he read. The other Marauders sat stunned - well, apart from Peter, who was staring at Persephone again - and Tris looked like she was about to cry. Remus let out a roar of anger. He practically dived over the Gyriffindor table and sprinted across the hall. He hit Persephone hard across the face. Scarlet and Bellatrix caught her as she fell backwards from the force of the blow. A deadly silence fell over the hall. Persephone raised her wand, pointing it at Remus.
"Avada Kedavra."

Two days later

With Scarlet

Scarlet was still furious. That filthy half-breed had somehow escaped the Killing Curse that he deserved. After he'd dodged it, a full on duel had come on. Lupin was still in the Hospital Wing. Scarlet smirked at that thought. Persephone had been an avenging angel in that fight. Her opponent hadn't stood a chance. Persephone's duelling skills were as deadly as her namesake, the goddess of the dead.

With Charlie

Charlie was furious. She knew Tris still refused to believe that Persephone was evil, but Charlie knew different. Persephone was the devil incarnate, possibly even worse than Voldemort. James and Sirius suddenly barrelled into the Hospital Wing and Charlie looked at them in surprise. She'd been able to sneak out of Transfiguration but apparently the boys hadn't been so lucky. Tris skidded into the room behind them.
"You're so fast," she panted.
Charlie felt a stab of envy go through her like a knife - unfortunately she had experience with those. She wished she could speak. The Healer at St. Mungos had said that Charlie may be able to speak again, but it would be years.
"How is he?" Sirius asked quietly, looking down at Remus.
Charlie shook her head. No change. James was just about to speak when Peter came into the Hospital Wing with an armful of Chocolate Frogs. Tris looked at him, confused.
"They're his favourite," Peter said shyly. "Padfoot told me to get them for when he woke up."
Tris beamed at her boyfriend.
"Persephone really got him, didn't she?" James sighed.
Charlie nodded. There were few outward marks on Remus, but the ones that he had were deep cuts. Charlie felt the familiar surge of anger run through her. She picked up the parchment and pen next to her. She scribbled down an angry sentence and passed it to James.
"Persephone's a bitch," James read. He cracked a smile. "I agree."
