With Charlie
Charlie looked up in alarm as Tris burst into the common room, face streaked with tears.
"You alright, Tris?" Charlie asked in concern.
Sirius leaped up from the couch and put his arms around his girlfriend. True pushed him away.
"I can't be with you anymore, Sirius," Tris sobbed.
Sirius was about to say something, when a blonde girl in a Slytherin uniform stormed into the room and made straight for Tris.
"What are you doing here, Poppy?
Remus asked.
Poppy didn't reply and put her arms around Tris.
"It's going to be fine, αδελφή," Poppy murmured, "It'll be fine."
"But...it's Malfoy," Tris sobbed, "I can't.."
She dissolved into sobs again.
"What about my jerk of a cousin?" Sirius asked fiercely.
Poppy glared at him.
"Lucius's family is in the sacred twenty eight," Poppy said slowly, like she was explaining something to a small child. "Perfect to help a disgraced daughter of Voldemort bring respectable pureblood children into the world."
Sirius went white. James and Remus looked like they were going to be sick. Peter looked like he didn't care much. Charlie looked shocked.
"An arranged marriage?!" Sirius screeched.
The whole common room went silent and looked at them.
"At least she's not getting married to your μπάσταρδος of a brother," Poppy snarled.
Sirius' mouth dropped open in horror.
"Regulus!" he spluttered. "What the hell's going on, Poppy?"
Poppy looked very young all of a sudden. With tears gleaming in her eyes, she started explaining.
"Tris and I got letters from Father, telling us that we were disgraces and the only way we can redeem ourselves is if we marry into respectable pureblood families and produce strong heirs that one day could be Death Eaters. He said that Tris was to marry Lucius Malfoy and that I was to marry Regulus." A tear slipped down Poppy's cheek. "We can't get out of it."
Tris's sobs increased. Charlie was nestled under Remus' arm, mouth open in shock. James looked like he was going to throw up.
"Sorry to interrupt this," a Gyriffindor boy said, "but can you take it outside? There can't be a Slytherin in here."The next day
With Poppy
Poppy sent anxious glances over to the Gyriffindor table. None of the Marauders, Charlie or Tris had shown up to breakfast. Poppy turned back to her own table as a dark-haired boy slipped into the seat next to her. Poppy turned a scorching glare on Regulus Black, who glared back at her, until his gaze shifted to above her head. Poppy turned to see Lucius Malfoy.
"Hey, Poppy," Lucius said, "Do you know where Tris is? I need to give her this."
He held out a large, crystal incrusted ring. Poppy glared at him and didn't answer. Regulus stood up, grinning.
"I know where she is," he smiled and led Lucius from the hall.Later that day
With Poppy
A knock on her dorm room door made Poppy look up from her homework. She called out for whoever it was to come in. It was Regulus.
"Get out!" Poppy spat.
Regulus smirked cockily.
"That's no way to speak to your fiancé, is it," he said, "anyway, I just came to give you this."
He threw a small black box at Poppy and left, slamming the door behind him. Poppy cracked open the box to reveal a silver ring with a black gem gleaming in the centre. Poppy closed the box, a sick taste in her mouth. She slipped off her bed and walked out of the door.A/N: I'm back! Sorry for the short chapter :-/
