now in my first hour, science all the way on the third floor, i walked into the classroom and tried to find an empty table. Everyone stared at me, judging my every move with they're gross eyes, i realized they were all "popular" kids so they just judged me for being "emo" and "wearing dark clothes 24/7. I could care less for their opinions. Finally i found an empty table, because two girls moved away, in the back corner of the room. Taking off my backpack and placing on the empty chair next to me, i pulled out my headphones and clicked them into my phone. Although i had a several choices of music, i couldn't think of anything to listen to. So i simply put on Nirvana, School. Oh god the way Kurt's voice sounded was heaven for my pounding headache. Cracking up the volume all the way, i placed my notebooks onto the table and started scribbling pictures of eyes, hands, lips etc. Suddenly a tap on my shoulder made me jump a little bit, it was Victor and Mike. why am i not surprised? i thought to myself and took out one ear bud, moving my backpack for one of them to sit down.
"Hey Ethan, i heard that one jerk Bryan was pushing you around? What the hell? Why didn't you fight back or call one of us? I mean, we are in a Mexican gang after all and-"
"Victor, will you shut up? Jeez you're sounding like Jaime." Mike snapped at Vic, sitting on the table
"Well still! We could've kicked his ass for ya dude!" Vic crossed his arms across his chest and shook his head, flipping his bangs out of his face. I shook my head quickly and rubbed the back of my neck nervously
"N-no guys hey it's fine! H-he just hates me a l-little bit that's all.. D-don't worry, he'll leave me a-alone." i tried to sound confident but sounded like a child trying to convince their parents to buy them an M rated video game. pathetic. Mike grabbed my ear bud, put it up to his ear and raised his eyebrows
"You like Nirvana?" he asked, confused as heck
I turned towards him and nodded slowly, turning down the music
"Y-yeah.. why? I-is it bad?" he half-smiled at me and shook his head
"No, i just never thought you were THAT grunge" i felt myself blush slightly and covered my face with my hands, laughing nervously
"W-well... i-i wouldn't consider m-myself grunge a-a-at all.." i mumbled, noticing the teacher walk in just as the bell rang.
"Class, take your seats please" she was very quiet, probably only 24 years old, first time teaching high schoolers. Her short, ginger hair and light pink sweater made me assume she's used to kindergardeners or third graders. The whole classroom ignored her, except Vic and I, while Mike sat next to blonde girl who glared at him. He seemed offended and tried to keep talking to her, she rolled her eyes.
"Mike just doesn't understand.." Vic muttered, grabbing my backpack and hugged it tightly. oh my god that's the cutest thing ever!! i thought to myself, feeling my entire face turn bright red as i continued to draw in my notebook. Vic sighed softly, watched me draw an eye with long eyelashes and slowly closed his eyes. I looked at him for a little while, admiring his long eyelashes and sighed. damn he's cute.. and nice... and stupidly protective... wow i'm lucky to have met him..
