The Colors of Love

Chapter 9

John came over every day almost as Philip loved to play with him. When Philip was at school or his mother's house however that let Alex have alone time with him.

Tonight was a special occasion. It was the six month anniversary of their first date. Tonight was the first milestone in their relationship and it was making Alex more nervous than he had ever been in his life. 

As Alex ran around the house trying to get ready Philip peaked out from the corner. "Papa is Mr.John gonna come over?" ALex stopped and looked at his son. "Pip I thought momma was picking you up from school today." 

Philip smiled "She did pick me up." thats when Alex saw Eliza come into the door. "Hey I can't take Pip tonight. I have a date." She said. Alex shook his head. "So do I. Eliza it's my six month anneversery with the best guy I've ever met. You have to take him."

She rolled her eyes. "Well my date is important too. You always do this. I am not letting you ruin another relationship for m-" she was cut off by a knock at the door. Alex ran over and answered the door. "Hey John. Come on in." 

Philip ran over and hugged John. "MR.JOHN!" he screamed. Eliza gasped and dropped her purse. "D-Did he just..."

Alex smirked and nodded. "Eliza this is John. He's my boyfriend." he said giving John a quick kiss on the cheek.

Jihn looked over and picked up Philip. "Oh you must be Pip's mother. It's a pleasure to meet you." he said politely. Eliza lokked at John in awe. "He talked to you. How long has he been talking to you?" 

John shrugged. "A few weeks. He really seems to like me. I've even gotten him to talk to a few casheers. He's been doing really well with his social anxiety."

Eliza cocked her head to the side. "H-How...?" 

John chuckled. "Well I went to college for two years to be a phycologist before dropping out to become an artist. I've been helping him out." 

Alex looked at John. "You never told me that. John thats amazing." He said kissing John on the cheek. John blshed and smiled at him.

Alex looked at Eliza. "Will you please take Pip for one night?" He asked.

Eliza nodded and took Philip. "Come on Philip we are going out for ice cream." she said walking out with the boy who waved to the grown men before following his mother.

Alex colsed the door and smirked at John "Now let us start this date."
