They all watched in amazement, everyone apprehensive as Harry stepped up to the Hippogriff. They watched as he bowed low, waiting for Buckbeak to bow back who eventually did.
Scarlett watched closely from a nearby tree that she had earlier climbed, the way Harry greeted Buckbeak brought back memories of the time she first met Alas. Alas, it has only been a day but she missed her Hungarian Horntail dearly.
She wondered if AJ and Charlie were having a hard time dealing with her since Alas was only really compliant with Scarlett.

"I'll have to owl them later" she inwardly mused, watching as Harry took of on Buckbeaks back and the whole class cheered aside for the students who she had learned to be in Slytherin.

"Scarlett?" Hermione and Ron called, the red head popping her head out from the mass of leaves and grinning to which the two on the ground laughed at before she jumped down and landed perfectly. As always!

"Sup?"

"Ah! Got another freak to join your group eh?"

Hermione and Ron whipped around, looking to the fair haired Slytherin lad Scarlett had remembered from the feast the night earlier. The two tried instantly were pulled into an argument with the boy Scarlett now knew as Draco and they both tried to keep Scarlett out of it. Well, until she jumped into the row herself.

"Listen here, you pompous, arrogant, self centred little prat. I don't give a damn what you say about me, the insults fall upon death ears anyway, but try say anything about my friends and I'll make sure you sleep with the squid at the bottom of the black lake tonight"

Everyone fell silent, but the Gryffindors jeered and cheered as Malloy just sneered and back off with the rest of his Slytherin crew as Harry was rallied back to the paddock. Everyone began to cheer once more, and so did Scarlett, completely playing it off that she hadn't just blew up on Malfoy but Ron was far from letting it go as he practically grinned from ear to ear.

"Well done 'Arry, well done" Hagrid praised, applauding as well until Draco burst forward and dared to do exactly what Hagrid had told them all not to do.

It was his own fault, insulting a proud creature was bound to lead to injury, and that's exactly what happened. Draco fell backwards, milking his injury for all its worth, rolling back and forth whilst crying out that it 'had killed me'.

Scarlett just scoffed, watching Hagrid walk away with the injured boy in his hand whilst dismissing class. Scarlett bounded over to the Hippogriff, bowing low like she had done to Alas and then moving to pet him whilst praising his actions to what he did to Draco.

"Such a good boy" and cooed, paying no mind to Ron who began to animatedly tell Harry what had happened with Scarlett and Draco earlier.

"It was bloody brilliant!" He cried as the four of them made their way to the great hall for lunch.

They sat at Gryffindor table, Hermione and Scarlett speaking over a certain book as the two boys spoke about something. Draco's complaining could be faintly heard and they all just rolled their eyes at it before Seamus came sprinting in with a newspaper in his hand.

"He's been sighted! He's been sighted!"

"Who?" Ron questions but they all notice the chilling photo of Sirius Black plastered on the front.

"Duff town?" Hermione questions in disbelief. "That's not far from here"

"You don't think he'd come to Hogwarts, do you?" A boy known as Neville Longbottom feebly questioned.

"With Dementors at every entrance?" Lavender questioned with a scoff.

"Dementors? He's already slipped past them once, hasn't he? Who's to say he can't do it again?" Dean added.

"That's right. Black could be anywhere. It's like trying to catch smoke. Like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands"

Scarlett just rolled her eyes, beliefs skeptical as she and Hermione picked up their stuff, dismissing themselves for the next lessons.

Her first day seemed to go by in a flash.
