I open my eyes. Why am I awake? It's midnight, I never wake up in the middle of the night like this. I turn round in bed and try to sleep but I just can't. I have too many questions! Here are just a few!
What's happened to my best fiend and her husband?
Where is the Doctor?
How can I find him?
I know the best shot I have is to go to Amy's house and search through her things, I don't want to. It's disrespectful, but it's the only chance I have of every getting Amy and Rory back. I text my boyfriend, George.
'George, meet me at Amy's house in 10? I know it's midnight, but I need you. Xx'
He immediately tells me he'll be there.
Rory has known George for as long as I've known Amy, they have always been competing to see who can get a degree in medicine and become a nurse, or, a doctor. George is training as a junior doctor and Rory is - well was - a nurse.
I throw on an old jumper over my pyjamas and quickly wriggle into my thick, furry coat. I can hear the wind and rain pelting down outside, why am I doing this? I slip on some Converse that are way too big for me and run though the forest towards Amy's house. Suddenly, I feel something tapping me. I scream. The thing screams. It's George. "Don't scare me like that, babe!" I laugh, hugging him. "Well, you've got me up at midnight to meet you here, there must be something wrong!" He smiles. "I think I have what I need here to start looking for the Doctor!" I exclaim. "No! Ali, it's a load of nonsense. Time travelling doesn't exist, and he doesn't exist. It's Amy's imaginary friend; he would never exist!" I look him sharply in the eye, "I'm going to prove it to you."In Amy's room, there are so many diary entries and books and art copies that she obvious loves and treasures. I stand at her desk, looking through some of the photos of her and the Doctor. The Doctor! He is real, staring into his eyes I can see the man she always talks about, the wonderful time traveler and his blue box. He will know where Amy Pond has gone. "Ok, Alice, if I help you - and believe you. Will you drop this whole thing? Amy and Rory are probably on holiday..." moans George.
"It's not a case of believing me or not - I don't care. I'm trying to find my best friend. She ALWAYS answers my calls and texts. No matter where she is!" I shout. "Text her now." Whispers George. I slowly take out my phone and send Amy a quick message.
*bleep bleep*
A phone goes off.
Me and George search the whole room for a phone, it's Amy's. My text shows up on the screen.
Along with a text labelled "the Doctor."
The text says;
'Alice, I know you're reading this. Keep looking for me, I know what's happened to Amy and Rory.
I'm in a blue box
The Doctor. '
I am desperate to find him, I just need to look out for a blue box, but the question is, why isn't he looking for me?
