"What about this one, dad?" I ask, holding up the white lacy dress. "It's ok..." he says, falling asleep. "So many dresses. I can't make a decision!" I moan. "Id say the... lacy one!" Says a familiar voice; I turn round and there's the Doctor. "Doctor!" I squeal, hugging him. "Yep that's me! Hi Cooke!" He smirks. "How did you find me?" I ask. "Well, I just did really." He replies, vaguely. "But anyway, where's George Archer?" Rambles the Doctor. "Georgeee!" I shout. My fiancé walks out the fitting room wearing a far too small suit, whilst I'm standing here in a wedding dress. "Oh, hello there Doctor!" Smiles George, shaking the doctors hand. "Come on then guys! Let's go!"
"Woah woah woah!" I exclaim. But before I could say I wanted to change out of the wedding dress, we are in the TARDIS. "Thanks!" Moans George, standing in his far too small suit. I burst out laughing. "Ohh a distress call! This is interesting..." mutters the Doctor. "Daleks!" He shouts, "easy peasy. Let's go!"I open the TARDIS door and step out. "EXTERMINATE!" Is the first thing I hear. "What the hell!" I scream, running back into the TARDIS. The Doctor and George are still in here. "What's there babe?" Asks George. "Daleks." I reply, "threatening to exterminate!"
"Aha! It's my lucky day, let's go!" Laughs the Doctor; running out the TARDIS."EXTERMINATE!"
"EXTERMINATE!"
"Oh do shut up!" Shouts the Doctor. I can't help but burst out laughing. George is quietly sniggering behind me. "YOU ARE THE DOCTOR. YOU MUST BE EXTERMINATED!" The doctor rolls his eyes at the machines and looks around him. We are in some kind of spaceship, suddenly, some astronauts come running in. "Doctor! You got our call! How do we get rid of the Daleks?" Desperately says one of the ships crew.
"EXTERMINATE!"
The woman is dead. I scream. I run. Down corridors and through doors. I end up in a small control room. "Alice. Don't. Run. So. Fast!" Says an exasperated Doctor. "George!"' I scream. "George!" No reply. "George!" I scream again, ignoring the Doctors warnings and running back the way I came.
No. it can't be.
George's limp body lays on the floor, dead. "NO!" I scream, tears steaming down my cheeks. "NOT GEORGE. NO. I LOVE HIM!" My words come out in between sobs. "ALICE COME AWAY, THE DALEKS ARE COMING!" Screams the Doctor. I don't move. I can't leave George. As soon as the dalek shouts the word the Doctor lifts me and moves me out the way, it all seems to happen in slow motion. "NO! GEORGE!" I sob, so loudly."Alice. We are safe now." Whispers the Doctor.
"GEORGE!" I cry again.
"I know. I'm so so sorry!" Cries the Doctor, gripping my hands and resting his forehead on mine.
"He's gone!" I mutter, trying to fight back my tears; sitting in my wedding dress. "Doctor. Doctor! CAN YOU GET HIM BACK?" I scream.
"Alice, calm down, breathe come on. There's no way I can get him back." I can see tears starting to fall down his face.
"Everything's been taken away from me!" I shout, "first my mum then my own sister and Rory and now George. Why do I deserve this!"
The Doctor squeezes my hand even tighter, fighting back his own tears.
"You are a special girl. I can't believe how much you've lost but you are strong. Remember George, remember every single memory. He still lives in your mind, Alice."
I am Alice Grace Cooke. And my whole life has fell apart before my eyes. I only have the Doctor.
