"Yes. I'm right here, it's me Alice!" I say, starting at the girl, tears streaming down my face.
"No! Who are you? Where did you come from?" The small girl backs away. "We have come from the future. This man here, is a time traveller!" My voice breaks.
The Doctor pulls me to the side.
"Alice, Alice, Alice are you ok?" He whispers. "No. it's hit home. Amy is gone, she's dead! I miss her so much!" I cry, burying my head into the doctor. "Alice, come on! I have suffered from this for the past month. I've lost so many people, I've lost things you wouldn't believe and I've felt things you wouldn't believe. Deep regret. I thought Amy's death was all my fault; you don't know how hard that hit me, I miss her more than you can imagine, she was my best friend. But you can be strong for Amy, I know you can, you have me and George. Don't beat yourself up!" He whispers, loudly.
I smile and wipe my tears away. "Are you talking about me?" Enquires 6 year old Amy Pond. "No and yes." Snaps the Doctor, quickly walking back over and looking around the children's home. "We are going to find someone to take you home, Amelia." Smiles the Doctor. The little girl nods. George puts his arm around me as I continue to cry.
"It's ok Ali. It's ok." He whispers into my ear.
"Why are you crying?" Asks the girl.
"Over the future." I sob.
The girl slowly walks over to us and says "it's okay, we all cry."The Doctor, Amy, me and George all look around the house again for the people that have gone missing. "There's a crack." Explains Amelia, "in my bedroom wall!" The Doctor knows all about this, I know all about this. "Lets go to your home, not here. We can look at this crack and your aunt can look after you."
"Yes please!" Cries Amelia as we lead her to the TARDIS.
"Wow!" She shouts, admiring the complicated time machine.
"Geronimo!" Laughs the Doctor, setting the TARDIS land at Amy's house, where I was just before I met the Doctor. We all step out the TARDIS and into the house, I nearly cry again, but keep calm, for everyone's sake. The house looks so different, the Doctor rings the doorbell. Amelias aunt opens the door. "Amy!" She shouts, happy to see her niece. "Have they decided to bring you early? You were meant to come tomorrow!" Smiles the lady, cuddling Amy tight.
"I'm the Doctor, can I come in for a minute?" Asks the Doctor, being his usual witty self."Fish fingers and custard please. But first I need to ask you a question. What is amelia's mum called?" Why does he need to know this? "Bev Cooke, her dads last name was Pond, they thought Amy sounded better with Pond."
The Doctor shoots me a look.
"This is Alice Cooke." He smirks. I stand up, "I need the bathroom! I know where it is!" I shout, running to the bathroom. I cry. This can't be true. Amy can't be my sister. We have different dads but the same mum, I have not only lost my best friend; but I've lost my sister. Once I've calmed down, I enter the living room. After looking at the crack, the Doctor, George and I head back to the TARDIS."Alice; I need you to listen. Amelia pond was your half sister. I know it's a lot to take in but I've believed it from the start. From the first time I called you clever, you are intelligent like her. You have the same hair, you are both Scottish. And I know it's hard but your sister IS dead."
It's hard to come to terms with, but I understand. "Alice, are your sure you're alright?" Asks George, stroking my hair. I smile. It's nice to know that I had somebody there for me. I have no family. Only George and the Doctor. Now Amy's gone, but I have these two, and I'm so grateful.Authors note:
This video is Amy's death. This is what the Doctor is describing, when he lost her.
