Chapter 22: you tried to seduce me too last night.

There’s silence in the room as Roman and I just look at eachother. I put a hand to my neck, in a very awful attempt to hide my hickies.

“For the love of god, stop it.” Tristian says groaning, and it’s now that I realize he was faking sleep. He rolls out of the bed running a hand through his hair, “Nothing happened, Roman.” He says pulling his pants on, which really doesn’t support his statement.

“We went out, got wasted. I brought her up here, and I wasn’t up to making it back downstairs, so I stayed the night.” He lies, and I feel grateful.

For some reason, even though we’re not a couple and agreed we could see other people, I don’t want Roman to know I asked Tristian to stay. He’d get the wrong impression.

“Yea,” Roman says finally speaking, and that’s all he says before closing the door.

Tristian lets out another groan just as the doorbell rings, “What’s his problem?” He asks referring to Roman, “Did you two finally hook up?”

I look away from him, not sure how to answer his question. When we made out it wasn’t long enough to consider it hooking up.

“Oh Ariel,” Tristian says and his trademark smirk appears on his face, “You sure are spreading yourself around, aren’t you?”

I pull the covers off of myself and stagger out of the bed, “I am not spreading myself around.” I argue pushing him in the chest, which only makes him laugh.

“Well, I would just call you a slut, but that word’s a bit too strong for you.” He says opening my door, and I follow him, “First there was Issach, he was lame, by the way. Then Roman, which we all knew was going to happen.” He says turning to look at me, “And as of last night, Mike, oh and lets not forget about how you tried to seduce me too last night.” He jokes as we make it to the bottom of the stairs.

“I can do what I want, I am in no committed relationship.” I tell him.

“Really?” A deep voice asks, “Because I thought we had a connection last night.” I look up to see Mike leaning in the doorway that leads to the living room, with a grin on his face.

Oh god, I probably look like crap right now.

What was I thinking rolling out of the bed, and coming straight downstairs.

Okay, I’m just going to play it cool.

I run a hand through my hair, “Really?” I throw his word back at him, “I wasn’t feeling that connection.” I cross my arms over my chest. Its then that I realize I’m in the same clothes from last night, and look pretty tacky. “Now, if you’ll excuse me..” I let my sentence trail off, and push past Tristian to go back up the stairs.

I pull out a tank top, that I know fits tight on me, and a pair of shorts. Okay, so maybe I’m trying to dress nice, and maybe a bit on the slutty side, just a little. For who I’m not sure. I’m not sure whether it’s for Roman, or for Mike. Though I think it’s mostly for the former, it’ll have more of an effect on the latter.

I take a quick shower, before slipping on my clothes and putting on a little makeup. Once I’m done I trudge downstairs and into the living room where I find all of the guys. When I walk in they all look at me but no one says anything.

Tristian raises an eyebrow as he looks at what I have on, “I’m starting to think it isn’t too strong of a word.” Of course he breaks the silence.

“Tristian.” I say in a warning tone though it obviously doesn’t affect him.

“Go make us some food, woman.” He says which is totally random.

“I don’t cook, and you know it, unless you want a salad?” I give him a smile. Tristian would never eat a salad.

“Well then can I have a smoothie please?” He asks trying to bat his eyelashes at me.

“Shut up Tristian, no one is fixing you anything.” Liz says walking into the room, and she’s pissed. I know from the tone she uses with Tristian, and the way she’s walking. Fast. So fast her hair is flying behind her.

“Hey, what’s your problem?” Tristian asks standing up, his face clear of any joking.

“Fuck off.”

Wow. I’ve never heard Liz use such strong words. Apparently I’m not the only one, because everyone just looks at her in shock.

Tristian follows after her, leaving me, Mike, and Roman in the room together.

Awkward.

“You should probably put some make up on your neck, unless you like sporting my love bites.” Mike says with a smile, breaking the silence in the room.

“Yea, Ariel, wouldn’t want people to get the wrong idea.” Roman says looking at me, and his face is blank. He doesn’t look mad, but I’m not too sure...

“Where’s Liz?” Jessie asks walking into the room with a worried look on her face.

“Outside with Tristian, I think.” Roman tells her and she nods.

“What’s her problem?”

Jessie shrugs, “I have no idea, all I know is that its Tristian’s fault.” she looks at me, “We’re going to go to the gym so she can blow off some steam. Are you coming?”

I rub the back of my neck, unsure. I really don’t feel comfortable around Jessie anymore. I feel like she’s pissed at me for an unknown reason. But, Liz seems like she needs friends around, even if I’m not her best friend, like Jessie.

“Sure.” I tell her knowing I’ll be stuck here with the guys, and tension, if I don’t go.

We all hear a loud band as the front door flies open.

“Liz, wait!” I hear Tristian yell and everyone looks in the direction of the door though we can’t see them yet.

“No!” Liz’s voice booms through the house, “You’re a fucking idiot, and I’m just done caring.” Liz appears and she walks straight past us. She doesn’t glance back.

Not once.

I did catch a glance of her red eyes though, and it’s obvious she’s on the verge of crying.

Tristian walks into the room and his face is red, once cheek is redder than the other. Liz slapped him.

This has got to be serious.

“Well, it looks like y’all aren’t going to the gym.” Mike says.

Q/N: Alright, I know this isn't long, but it has some suspense in it.

What do y'all think Tristian did to make Liz so mad?
