Chapter 23

Jc POV

I went back to Delaihs house I told her parents that she was with Ryan and would be home soon. I went up to her room. I was going to punch something I wanted to so bad I also wanted a drink.....But that will only make things worst. So I cry I don't know why but I do. Then I get a call
"Hello."
I say into the phone my voice cracks.
"Can you come pick me up?"
I don't have to ask what happened I know what happened Ryan wasn't her "best friend" I was right but I don't want to rub it in don't think Delaih would like that so I just say."
"How do I get there."
And being me I throw in
"Who's ass do I have to kick?"
She laughs and tells me to call her back when I get into town and she will give me directions from there.
"Jake may I borrow your truck again?"
"Sure but why?"
He asks in a worried tone
"Deliah called and asked me to pick her up so I was just going to go get her."
"Though you said she was with Ryan is everything okay?"
"I'm not sure I think so though."
he hands me the keys and as I'm walking out jake looks at me and says
"You take good care of my little girl Justin."
I get into town and call deliah but there's no answer.
"Shit."
I mumble to myself I get out of the car.
"Lost?"
I hear a voice behind me say I turn around and see a girl with Long blond hair and skin way to tan for this weather.
"Ya do you know where I could find a cafe I'm meeting someone there.."
At this point the girl is sanding right behind me .
"Maybe I can help for a price of course."
She whispers in my ear I jump back
"Uh um no thanks."
I say as I get back into the truck and drive a bit out of town. I try to call Delaih again but she doesn't pick up again. I see a little cafe but no Delaih I walk in and ask the young waitress at the counter if they had seen a girl with brown hair green eyes
"You mean deliah brooks?"
"Yes... have you seen her?"
"You just missed her she stormed out after Ryan called her a whore." She says causally I run out side "Delaih!"
I yell "Jc!." I hear her voice of not to far I look up and see Delaih looking at me as Ryan looks at me also only he doesn't look like the Ryan she introduced me to this Ryan was not smiling but angry. Delaih runs towards me.
"Dammit Delaih don't you get it?" Ryan says punching the brick cafe wall."
"What do you mean?" She yells back now In my arms.
"I love you so much and you don't see it I have always loved you then you moved away and forgot about me about us!"
"Ryan there never was and us I was your friend."
Ryan starts to cry and punch the wall
Then he gets in his car and drives away.
On the ride home I asked Delaih what had happened and she told me the whole story.
"Glad you home safe what happened? " Kathryn asks
"Ryan and I got in a small fight so I just had Jc drive me home."
"Well okay honey me and your dad where planning on going to see some friends tonight want to come Jc can come to of course.
"No thanks mom I think we will just stay home tonight."
"Well okay but don't for get to be safe don't want grand babies just yet."
"MOM!"
I can't help but laugh and nod as her parents walk out the door. Jake whispers to me
"My wife wasn't kidding."
The moment her parents are gone she looks at me
"So are we going to got make out in my parents bed or what?"
"Eager are we?"
We both laugh
"I really hope you weren't kidding." I say
"Well I was but....."
