Deliah POV
I wake up in the morning, and Jc's not there. I get up and walk into the kitchen he left a note on the counter.
"Went to work. Call me when you get this."
I pick up my phone and call Jc.
"Hey babe, got my message?" He said.
"Yeah, so what's up?"
"Well...I almost got fired but it didn't so it's okay but...."
"But what?"
"But Jayden says we can't really afford to keep you but don't worry she says you will be able to find a nice job with her letter of recommendation."
"Okay, cool um...so can I just come down there and talk to her?"
"Yeah sure, but, I'm working so I'll see you when I get home."
We both hang up. If I'm being honest I was kinda happy. Not that I didn't like working with Jc, but my entire life was almost gone when he left I need to have my own life too.
I shower and get dressed I put on a pair of jeans and a crop top. I pull my wet hair up into a neat ponytail, and put on a little bit of mascara. I slip on my black vans and walk out the door.
I get to Jayden's office, and knock on the door.
"Come in."
I walk in
"Delaih, nice to see you."
"You too." I smile and sit down.
"So, I'm guessing Jc told you that we can't keep you working here."
"Yeah, its okay thought, I was thinking about looking for another job anyways."
"That's good, what kind of job where you thinking about?"
I talk to Jayden for a while about jobs, and other boring things. Jayden said she has a friend who will need someone in a couple of weeks.
I leave Jayden's office, and went back home.
I walk in the door and see Jc stading there with the biggest grin on his face.
"What's going on with you?" I say.
"Oh nothing, just...I bought some plane tickets to Texas."
*1 week later*
Jc and I walk to get on a plane, yet again, to go to Texas. We get there at around 4am. Jc's family didn't live far from the airport so we were just going to take a taxi, or something.
We get in a taxi and I look outside the window. We stop in the middle of nowhere and Jc gets out motioning for me to get out also.
"What are we doing in the middle of nowhere?"
"This isn't nowhere babe over there see that old barn with the big tree next to it?"
"Yeah, what about it Jc did you really take me here to look at a tree?"
He laughs.
"I used to go here all the time, and just do nothing. One day, when I was driving back from work my car broke down. In the middle of nowhere. I didn't have a phone at that point, so I had to wait for someone to drive by. I went and sat under that tree, and slept on the roof of the shed. I watched the stars. Ever since then I would come here whenever I felt alone or stressed. I carved my name into the tree, and I wanna do that sappy thing that they do in movies where they carve their names in a tree in a heart."
We carve our names into the tree, and he helps me onto the roof of the broken shed. And we watched the stars.
"I've always wanted to share this place with someone I love. That's you Deliah.
"I'm so happy I met you JC. In a werid way it was just by chance, like we were meant to be together. Fuck this is chessy, but I love you Jc."
"Yeah," he laughs again.
"Just by chance"
THE END.
