Nick (Part 1)

I sat happily in Sanctuary on my day off. I watched Shaun...well the synth Shaun reading Comics with MacCready. I smiled and saw Nick watching them. He would make a good dad. He's protective over Shaun, but that may just be because they're both synths or Nick doesn't trust Shaun. The railroad had helped fix Nick, get rid of any trace of Kellogg. They repaired all the tares in his synthetic skin. He looked brand new. That was the good thing. I sigh as I walked into my room and changed into tank-top and worn down jeans. I walked into the street and looked around. I walked towards the water pump and quickly got a drink. I sigh and look over to Shaun. He wasn't there. I looked around and saw Nick teaching him how to use a gun. I walked over and leaned on a wall watching them, MacCready stud net to me.

"I'm telling you, He'd do better with a pistol," MacCready said as Shaun held up the laser musket.

"Oh hush," Nick said and smiled in my direction. "So look down here and fire when you're ready." I looked over to where he was aiming and saw a Radroch. I watched as Shaun fired, hitting the Radroch. I smiled and walked over and ruffled his hair.

"Good job." I smiled. He laughed and cheered, waving the gun around, accidentally shooting it. Thank god it didn't hit anyone. But that didn't stop Nick pulling me close and blocking me from the gun. "Okay. No more guns for now." I say and he frowned. I took it and he went back with Macready to read comics. I sigh and walked off, back inside. I put the gun in the chest under my bed.

"He's going to have to learn sooner or later." I looked over and smiled at Nick.

"I know, just not right now. Especially if he's going to wave it around like that." I say. He sighed and nodded. He walked over and smiled at me.

"Well, I know a certain place I want to take you and wanted to know if your free tonight?" He asked.

"Are you asking me on a date, Nick?" I asked grinning at him.

"I guess you can say that." I smiled and nodded. Shaun ran in and smiled and hugged me.

"I can use a pistol." He smiled.

"MacCready!" I yell and walked out to see MacCready hiding the weapon behind his back and Piper laughing in the background with Deacon.
