Nick (Part 4)

I sigh as I sit at the table. Everyone asleep. I groan and rub the back of my neck.

"Stressed?" I looked over to Preston. I nodded.

"Between being the general, a mother and trying to stay alive...It's finally taking a toll on me." I smiled. I rubbed my shoulders. He chuckled and came over. He sat next to me.

"You'll get there." He smiled. I nodded and frowned at the pain in my neck. "Stay there." He said and got up. I jump slightly as I felt his fingers massage my shoulders. I sigh in happiness. I smiled. "Relaxing." I nodded. I heard someone clear their front and I looked over to see Nick. I smiled and got up. I went over and he just looked at me.

"Am I interrupting?" He asked. I raise an eyebrow at him and he shook his head before walking off somewhere. I looked back to Preston who chuckled.

"I think your boyfriend got jealous." I sigh and follow after Nick. I soon found him in a house down the road.

"Nicky." I smiled as I snaked my arms around his waist.

"What is it, sweetheart?" He asked smiling.

"Were you jealous of Preston?" I asked. He frowned and I giggled but he just staid looking down. "Nick, you don't need to be jealous. I love you."

"A machine. Over a human?" He asked. I just looked at him. "You do realize there are things I cant give you. I cant give you a normal life-"

"Nothing around here is normal," I say.

"I cant give you a family." He said.

"I already have one and you're in it."

"I meant I cant give you a baby." I just looked at him. I pinch the bridge of my nose as I thought about what me and piper talked about.

"You've been talking to piper." I sigh.

"She told me you want another baby." He said. I sigh and moved in front of him and took his hands in mine.

"I won't deny it, Nick. I would love another baby. But I would prefer to have you." I smile. "I have Shaun and you. That's all I need."

"But that doesn't help that you want-" I lean over and put my lips on his kissing him softly. I felt him tense under me and I went to pull away when he kissed me back. I smiled and pulled back.

"I'm happy the way things have turned out." I smiled. He cupped my face and I smiled, blushing slightly.

"Would you still want a baby?" He asked. I sigh and rub my head. "I'll find a way-" I kiss him again and shut him up.

"I don't want another baby, Nick. I like the thought of having another one. But that doesn't mean I want to pop another one out. Have Shaun hurt enough." I laugh

"What if we adopt." I just looked at him. "Not now. But maybe if you wanted too-" I kissed him again happily. I pulled away. "I'd stop you doing that but I love it too much." He grinned and pulled me into his lap and kissed me sweetly. I kissed back until we both needed air. I pulled away and rested my head on his chest.
