He jumped the wooden fence. I didn't say a word. My head left heavily with worry. Just a second ago he was about to kill me. Now, he just jumps over the fence like it's no big deal. Gone like nothing had happened. I looked around the room. Nothing seemed out of place. Here I was running like a mad man claiming that a serial killer was in my room but nothing to show in the kitchen. I ran up stairs opened my bedroom door. The room was dark so I turned on the light. A killer stood at the foot of the bed with a smile like the Joker. But no. Nothing was missing nor misplaced. No blood on the carpet. Not even a mud stain. The bed was the only thing that showed any sign of movement. What about Max? My heart stopped. Slowly I walked over to his room to take sure he was save.

"Max?" I whispered as I opened his door. The pain of my foot begin to throb a little with each step I took. By now the medicine should kick in. Max laid in bed. His golden hair rested peacefully on his pillow. I walked over to him. He was fine. I claimed into bed with him. Allowing my body to hover over him. There was enough room for me to sleep on my side but that didn't matter. Max needs protection. I put my arm over him as he slept peacefully. I kisses his forehead and looked around his dark room. Not a killer in sight. My stomach dropped just thinking about that thing. I looked down at Max before standing up straight. I am acting like a child. No killer is coming after Max. No one is going to hurt us. I sighed. Max needs someone who acts like an adult not a child who hides. I claimed out of bed and walked out of his room.
I closed his door gently and headed towards my door. footsteps came across the hallway to Max's room.

"How was your night?!" Ron yelled/ whispered as he glares at me. "What time is it?!"

"Around twelve,"

"Why aren't you asleep?" He crossed his arms as he taps his foot.

"I stepped on glass and thought that-" I chocked not wanting to explaining fully. What I support to say? I am going mad?

"Though, what?!" Ron raised his hand but Mary stepped in front of me. Wow, my freaking 'hero'. Ron when Ron was about to point at me. Mary's pink gown flowed as she stares at Ron. I have to amount she was good at looking pretty.

"Ron... Dear... let her be." Her voice hanged in the air as a long pause followed. I tried my best to not to fake cough, thinking how funny the cough will make when it echos from the open walls. Ron opened his mouth then closed it.

"Sissy?" Max whispered. He begins to cry.

"Yes. Max. Eh...Son?" Max nodded and looked at me. I can tell from his face he wanted answers. He looked pail as his eyes plead for sleep. Ron walked over to Max and kissed Max's forehead.

"I will tuck in Max. " Ron shook his head. I looked at Ron as if he was stupid. It was childish for him to think that I couldn't help Max, he is my brother. Max just stood there looking at me and then at Mary, he was so small and helpless. Even his PJ's looked so cute on him, even though I'm not sure if those are the same pjs he had on before I went to sleep. I walked over to Max and guid him to his room. I closed the door behind me not even looking back at them. Max laid his bed and looked at me. I began to tuck him in. He smiled and pulled his arms out.

"Sissy?" He began," Can you promise me that you will be good?" I looked at him for a moment.

"What?"
