Chapter 1-Life changer

A/N: Thats Caroline, played by Grace Van Dien up there. Also, I randomly select songs I like, some fit the chapter, some don't. Enjoy ;)

     Before freshman year, I despised any kind of sport, except for swimming and tennis.

People would always tell me," Oh come on, Caroline, you have to try out for the basketball team," or something like, "Caroline, you really should be more athletic!"

Yea, they would tell me that but I honestly didn't care. I am an antisocial person because I don't trust people.

I know, you are probably thinking that someone like a best friend or someone close go me betrayed me or something. Believe it or not, that's not why.

When a girl I knew and was close to and I were out in the woods behind our 1-story house, some man with a mask came up to us and asked if we wanted candy. That is exactly what a kidnapper would say to lure you away from everyone. I knew better, but she, the girl I knew, on the other hand, would trust anything anyone said.

So, as you might think, she said yes. I tugged on her arm, but she jerked off and said," Caroline, go away!"

I had no other choice but to back away. When I was about a few trees away, I heard her scream. When I turned around, he had her by the arm with a gun pointed to her head.

He turned around making sure no one saw him. I darted behind the nearest tree. And the tree just so happened to be a sycamore tree, her favorite tree. When I peeked around the sycamore tree, he was still looking around, probably for me.

I recognized him.

It was my uncle, Jamie! The only person I thought was a little off in my family.

Turns out, I was right.

He never really liked her, said she believed what people said too much.

Jerk.

He dragged her into his little black Nissan altima. I memorized his license plate but by the time the cops found him, there was a dead body, identified as that girl.

I don't trust anybody anymore. That day changed my life forever.

The day I killed her.

A/N: Hope you liked it. I'll try not to make my authors notes too long but the ones up top are very important. So if you didn't read the one up top, go read it right now. The top ones will most likely be about a new character in the picture or the characters outfit.

The first few chapters seem bad because they have a depressing vibe, for me anyway, but I promise the vibe becomes lighter and the chapters become better. I started this when I was extremely naive about writing, so it's pretty bad at the beginning, but it gets better.
