I couldn't quite open my eyes yet, but I did feel a hand interlaced with my fingers. I thought it was Parker's but when I felt some strange sparks that I had felt when he touched me, I was disappointed to find it was Damien.
Idiot.
If I could slap him, I so would.
But, what's strange is our hands fit perfectly together, almost as if we were made for each other. I heard a growl and felt another hand on my other hand. I thought it was Parker but when I heard him speak, I was disappointed to find John was holding my other hand.
He said,"Chill out Damien. I marked her." I noticed our hands fit horribly together.
I tried to jerk my hand away but found my fingers weren't even moving.
I decided it was best to save my energy when I woke up because I was in a coma.
Wait, I'm in a coma?!
Ok, it actually makes sense now.
I really want to slap someone now.
I was going to go back to sleep but there was a lady standing at the doorway. She walked over to where John was sitting and, facing him, she said,"You have marked the wrong girl. You are now going to be mateless. Leave." With a flick of her hand, he was gone. She turned to me and said,"Come with me, my child."
I got out of bed and saw myself still laying in bed, still holding hands with Damien. She said,"I will explain once we leave." I reluctantly followed this strange lady out of the hospital room and we appeared back at my house, in the backyard.
As we walked, I wondered how the heck she could walk in that long dress, yet, it was a beautiful dress.
The backyard had an overview of the ocean, with sand all the way from my backyard to the ocean. We walked down the sandy concrete path and sat down where we could see the ocean. I had so many questions running through my mind right now, my head is spinning. The lady held my hand. I thought it was just for reassuring but when she did, she closed her eyes. Slowly all the questions began to fade and my head stopped spinning. She had closed her eyes during it and she started the conversation with this question,"You are probably wondering who I am right child?"
I nodded my head yes because I didn't want to disrespect the very nice lady who got me out of that horrible hospital bed. It wasn't even comfortable! She continued, breaking me out of my thoughts,"I am the Moon Goddess. I created you for your mate. " She said,'Mate.' The word I absolutely despised. Yea sure, I knew what the word meant, but that didn't mean I was one of those monsters of a so called 'creature.'
I knew I had to get back to my mom. She could tell me. She was part tiger, and by part I mean 90% tiger. She could shift into a tiger in just a few seconds flat. The lady, or I guess I could call her 'Moon Goddess' continued,"I had originally made you for Damien, but I watched you. Damien was so selfish, he didn't want to go to look for his mate. He thought if he stayed cooped up in his mansion that his mate would search for him instead. I bet he changed his mind now." She said as she looked at me with a smirk on her face.
I looked back at the ocean and smirked as she continued. "When I saw you with Parker, you looked so happy. I left you to be happy with Parker and went to have a talk with Damien. I told him his mate had moved on and was happy with another guy. He must have tracked your scent and kidnapped you." She explained, rather thoroughly if I might add.
I scoffed.
Sorry, just had to happen.
She looked at me with questioning eyes and I had a smirk on my face the entire time. Oh man, two can play at that game. I let my smirk fade, looked at the water and with a fake hurt expression, I asked,"So, can you help me escape?" I looked to her with pleading eyes as a dog would do to get a treat. Her beautiful smile faded into a 'sorry' expression and said,"No child, I cannot. In no way. I can watch you but I can't help you.I'm going to remove your mark from selfish John and then I'm taking you back." She moved two fingers in the direction of my unwanted mark and I felt a sharp pain and as soon as the pain came, it was gone.
She looked up at the sun rising and said,"We must go. Our time is up." She walked me back to the hospital room and I layed back in the bed, to go back to being absolutely lifeless.
